​3 Oct 2025 Deputy Talarico began an investigation in Muskingum Township of medication being stolen.

3 Oct 2025 Deputy Norris and other law enforcement began a search for an elderly individual in Marietta Township.  The subject was located. 

4  Oct 2025 Deputy Gainer responded to Dunham Township, to a report of Jessica Marie Biehl punching a sibling. ​It was reported that  Biehl ​was using drugs and had not been acting herself​.   Deputies located drugs and paraphernalia within reach of​ two children in her care.  A clear cylinder glass container was located with a crystalline substance.  Biehl advised this was Fentanyl.    Biehl, 28407 SR 7, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance, 2 counts child endangering.   

5 Oct 2025 while Deputy J. Mays was working at the Washington County Jail, an inmate had passed an item through the door.  The inmate was removed from the dorm at that time.  Inmate Mason Travis Tomlin, 8647 SR 78, Glouster,  OH, was observed attempting to throw an item from his hand.  Officers located an orange pill like item.  Tomlin advised the pill-like item was a portion of a Suboxone pill.  Tomlin was charged with possession of drugs and tampering with evidence.

5 Oct 2025 a financial scam investigation was conducted in Muskingum Township.  The individual was provided with a link in order to possibly win $80,000.  This case remains under investigation.

6 Oct 2025 Deputy Pugh was dispatched to Lawrence township to a report of vandalism at the old Lawrence School. 

6 Oct 2025 Deputy Thornberry along with other deputies and personnel with the Little Muskingum Volunteer Fire Department  responded to Sackett Ru Road to the scene of a deceased individual.

6 Oct 2025 Deputy Wallace was dispatched to Marietta Township to a report of a break in of a residence with items being taken.

6 Oct 2025 deputies along with the Salem Fire Department responded to the scene of a deceased individual.

Dequante Deshawn Ford, age 26, Detroit, MI, possession of drugs, a felony.

Mohamed Magdi Hussein Zaki Barakat, age 42, Belpre, OH, violation of a protection order, a misdemeanor.

Troy Eugene Lightfritz, age 39, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Branda Arlene Houk, age 54, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs, a felony.

Khalib Asad Bond, age 28, Dublin, OH, trafficking in fentanyl, a felony.

Wesley Lee Casto, age 32, Marietta, OH, driving under OVI suspension, OVI alcohol, probation violation, and driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, all misdemeanors.

Joshua David Chichester, age 39, Parkersburg, WV, no operator’s license and driving under suspension, both misdemeanors, possession of drugs and tampering with evidence, both felonies.

William Jasper Jones, age 32, Akron, OH, possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.

Lauralye Isabella Cassandra Bowman, age 23, Marietta, OH, strangulation, a felony, and domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Kimberly Dawn Blair, age 38, Marietta, OH, no seatbelt, a misdemeanor.

Davon Eugene Kidd, age 40, Marietta, OH, violate protection order, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 20 women and 100 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
