8 Sept 2025 Deputy Huffer completed a private property accident report in Marietta Township. Stephen Worstell was backing on private property and struck a gas meter.
8 Sept 2025 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a missing male subject in Warren Township. The Warren VFD personnel along with numerous deputies, K9 Sooga and the Drone Unit began an extensive search for the male subject. The male was located approximately 2 hours later.
9 Sept 2025 Deputy Pugh, while on patrol near the on ramp of I77 northbound, observed a white Chevy SUV bearing OH registration disregard a red light, passing through, causing other vehicles to swerve. A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle stopped at approximately the 1 mile marker on I77 north. The driver, Austin Mitchell Vannoy, 319 High Street, Pleasant City, OH, admitted to running the red light. A citation was issued to Vannoy for failure to obey a traffic control device.
10 Sept 2025 Sgt. Harlow responded to Waterford Elementary School, Waterford Township, to a report of a student making threats to another student. After conducting the investigation Sgt. Harlow will be filing charges on the 12 year old juvenile through the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office.
11 Sept 2025 Deputy Norris and Deputy Davis were in Lawrence Township assisting the Marietta Police Department on an arrest. While at the location deputies encountered Lisa Slagle. Slagle was checked through dispatch for warrants, finding no warrants, however was advised she did have a suspended driver’s license. Deputies informed Slagle of the status of her driver’s license. Upon leaving the location Slagle was observed sitting in her car, a grey four door sedan, in the driver’s seat. Deputies left the area on Pleasant Ridge Road towards State Route 26 and observed the same grey vehicle traveling south on Pleasant Ridge behind them. Deputy Davis pulled off of Pleasant Ridge to let the vehicle pass and once past, verified this was the same vehicle that Slagle was seated in, prior to leaving the residence. It was also confirmed that Slagle was the driver. A traffic stop was initiated and Lisa M. Slagle, 2650 Moss Run Road, Marietta, OH, was issued a citation for driving under noncompliance suspension.

Kimberly Ann Kester, age 65, Clarksburg, WV, drug paraphernalia and wrongful entrustment of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.
Patti Jean Wilson, age 71, Salem, WV, possession of drugs, a felony, and drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Jeremy Mark Woodford, age 34, OVI alcohol drug of abuse or both, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs .08 or 1 grams or more but less than .17 of 1 gram of weight of alcohol per 2310 liters of breach, driving under OVI suspension, all misdemeanors.
Jamie Garland Hardman, age 52, Clarksburg, WV, drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Jose Fernando Gonzalez Diaz, age 31, Marietta, OH, OVI alcohol, drug of abuse or both, driving in marked lanes or continuous lines of traffic and no operator’ license, all misdemeanors.
There are currently 29 women and 90 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
