4 May 2025 at approximately 2303 hours Deputy Tucker responded to the New Matamoras ParMar, 1300 Park Avenue, Grandview Township, to a report ​of Paige McGowan busting out a windshield o​n a 2016 Ford.  The complainants state they pulled into the ParMar next to one of the pumps at which time a vehicle driven by McGowan pulled in behind them and ​she started screaming/yelling at them.  The subjects went inside the store at that time. A clerk in the store advised the couple that someone had just hit their vehicle.  McGowan was then seen driving south on State Route 7. Damage was observed and a tire iron was located on the ground next to the vehicle.  A summons is being requested for Paige Mackenzie McGowan, age 22, lka: 3635 Archers Fork Road, New Matamoras, OH, for criminal damaging.

5 May 2025 Deputy Thornberry responded to Marietta Municipal Court to meet with Probation Officer Johnson regarding a shotgun recovered from Randall Delancey. On 29 Apr 2025 Deputy Johnson was conducting a home visit and became aware of a violation of a no contact order Delancey had violated.  A gun safe was noted inside a closet in the home, which contained a shotgun and BB gun​s.   Delancey stated he knew nothing about this safe.  Deputy Thornberry filed charges of having weapons under disability on Randall Delancey, 448 Echo Valley Road, Waterford, OH.

5 May 2025 Deputy Windland responded to First Lane, Belpre Township, to a report of an older male in a Ford Ranger needing to be checked.  The male had seemed confused and didn’t know where he was.  The male, later identified as Mark Dye, reeked of ​an odor of alcoholic beverages.  Subjects at the scene were attempting to talk Dye out of driving due to the possibility of him being intoxicated. When asked where Dye was coming from he stated a friend’s house where he partook in consuming approximately 5 alcoholic beverages, and that he should not be operating a motor vehicle but decided to anyway. Sgt. Stillson arrived and conducted Standard Field Sobriety Tests and advised Dye he was under arrest. Dye was transported to the Marietta City Police Department for a BAC test where he blew a .162. Mark A Dye, age 69, Parkersburg, WV, was placed under arrest and charged with having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence. 

6 May 2025 at approximately 1737 hours Deputy Venoy was dispatched to Warren Township to a report of a juvenile leaving in a vehicle without permission.  The juvenile and vehicle were later recovered. A summons is being requested for the child through Juvenile Court on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and operating  a vehicle without a valid driver’s license.

7 May 2025 Deputy Norris began an investigation into mischief conducted ​in Salem Township.  This investigation is ongoing.      

9 May 2025 Deputy Boyd responded to Newport Township to a report of flower basket​s​ being stolen from Oopsa Daisy Florist.  These were valued at approximately $200.

9 May 2025 Deputy Welch responded to a residence in Dunham Township to meet with a parent who had reported ​her 17 year old​ child missing from Tyler County, WV.  The child was located and the parent retrieved the child and left the scene. 

10 May 2025 at approximately 0020 hours Sgt. Stillson was patrolling State Route 821 near the intersection of Glendale Road in Muskingum Township when he observed a white Chevrolet Suburban bearing a West Virginia temporary tag with no illuminated tail lights.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was found to not have a valid operator’s license.  A citation was issued to the driver, Ashley Barcelli, 705 8th Street, Marietta, OH, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. 

10 May 2025 at approximately 2346 hours Deputy Gerber was dispatched to the Parmar at 3355 State Route 821, Muskingum Township, in reference to the clerk reporting a man was dropped off at the store and was visibly hysterical, crying.  Deputy Gerber met with Robert John Hogan Jr. who stated he was picked up at the Moose Lodge in Lowell by Robert Hogan Sr. ​ Hogan ​Jr. stated after being picked up, an argument started where his father struck him in the face with the back of his hand. An injury beginning to bruise was observed on Hogan Jr’s eye.  Deputy Gerber met with Hogan Sr. at his home.  Hogan Sr. stated there was no physical altercation, however did report that he did back hand Hogan Jr. five days prior after he smarted off to him. Robert John Hogan Sr., age 57, 506 Chamberlain Drive, Marietta, OH, was transported to the Washington County Jail for a charge of domestic violence.

14 May 2025 Lt. Hornbeck requested a warrant for the arrest of Jennifer Ann Adair, age 44, 811 Front Street, Marietta, OH, after ​trying to make contact with Adair since 9 May 2025​ with negative results. On 22 Oct 2024 Adair received veterinary care from Green Meadows Veterinary Hospital, 3000 SR 26, Marietta, OH, ​in the amount of  $1534.77.  Adair paid a portion of the bill, leaving a balance of $1129.61 which she wrote a check for.  The check was returned due to insufficient funds.  Several attempts had been made by the hospital to contact Adair, as well as by certified mail.  Lt. Hornbeck left messages as well for Adair with negative results.
