15 May 2025 Deputy Wallace was on patrol at approximately 0030 hrs. in Pioneer Township, observed a vehicle in the parking lot of a Pike Street business.  The business was closed and the lights from the vehicle were pointed towards merchandise.  Deputy Wallace pulled into the lot to make contact and observed the vehicle as it was headed towards the end of the lot.  Flower baskets were seen in the rear of the vehicle at that time, which were suspected of being stolen.  A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle bearing an expired WV registration.  The owner of the vehicle, Courtney Smith, stated the flowers were from Mother’s Day.  Smith was visibly nervous and shaking.  Dispatch advised of a warrant for Smith for theft.  A pat down was conducted on Smith, locating suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe.  Smith confessed to stealing the flowers as well as succulents.  Smith further stated the drugs, weighing .84 grams, was methamphetamine. K9 Mauser was deployed on the vehicle and he indicated on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Located in a backpack, where Smith removed her driver’s license from, was a tied Ziploc baggie containing suspected methamphetamine weighing 1.97 grams, scales, several empty baggies and snorting straws.  Also recovered were 4 succulents, 2 hanging flower baskets and a watermelon, which was stolen from the market.  The stolen items were valued at approximately $129.  Another glass pipe was recovered along with snorting straws on the sun visor and throughout the vehicle.  Courtney Taylor Smith, age 34, 607 Cherry Avenue, Williamstown, WV, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of drugs and theft.

Nicholas Aron Beyard, age 24, Chesapeake, OH, 2 counts probation violation, both felonies.

Christopher Scott Holder, age 40, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs, a felony.

Jill Kristin Bolden, age 44, Belpre, OH, receiving stolen property and possession of drugs, both felonies.

Smit Rajeshbhai Shah, age 20, Cleveland, OH, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, telecommunications fraud, and grand theft, all felonies.

Courtney Taylor Smith, age 34, Parkersburg, WV, possession of drugs, a felony, theft without consent, theft and contempt of court, all misdemeanors.

Timothy Lee Sanders, age 47, Malta, OH, 2 counts probation violation, both felonies.

Liam Zane Tidd, age 20, Coolville, OH, probation violation and parole violation, both felonies.

Stacy Ann Holter, age 49, New Matamoras, OH, possession of drugs, a felony.

Robert Hugh Staats, age 44, Belpre, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Larry Travis Lang, age 45, Waterford, OH, possession of  fentanyl and aggravated possession of drugs, both felonies.

Timothy Noel McKinley, age 27, Parkersburg, WV, aggravated trafficking in drugs, trafficking in fentanyl related compound, and possession of a fentanyl related compound, all felonies.

James Curtis Perrine, age 41, Newport, OH, failure to display plates and driving under suspension, both misdemeanors.

Andrew James Strock, age 45, Vienna, WV, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs .204 or 1% or more by weight, a felony, failure to control, no seatbelt, failure to reinstate o/l, expired plates, fugitive from justice, OVI alcohol, drug of abuse or both, and driving under the influence of alcohol drugs, all misdemeanors

Jennifer Ann Adair, age 44, Marietta, OH, passing bad checks, a misdemeanor.

Jarod Joseph Bennett, age 26, Marietta, OH, felonious assault, a felony.

Timothy Alan Duncan, age 43, Stockport, OH, receiving stolen property and breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors.

There are currently 17 women and 93 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
