Ice Cream, Horses, and the Barlow Parade
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office brought a little extra horsepower — and plenty of treats — to the Barlow Parade!
Our newly formed Mounted Unit completed its first parade, and the response from the crowd was overwhelmingly positive. It was great seeing so many people welcoming our deputies and horses along the parade route.
Our new Sheriff’s Office Ice Cream Truck also proved to be extremely popular. Deputies handed out ice cream sandwiches and popsicles to many surprised and eager fairgoers. The Ice Cream Truck gives our deputies another fun way to connect with residents, especially kids and families, outside of the usual law enforcement setting. We’ll be bringing it to community events, neighborhood gatherings, and other opportunities throughout Washington County.
Events like the Barlow Parade and Fair give our deputies an opportunity to interact with the community in a fun and positive setting. It’s all part of Sheriff Warden’s vision for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office—serving our community while building stronger connections with future generations.
