​24 Mar 2026 Deputy Bush responded to Warren Township regarding a TPO violation.   The protection order in question states there is to be no contact via social media.  Information received was verified and James N. Braswell, 113 Meadow Lane, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with violation of a temporary protection order. 

31 Mar 2026 at approximately 1824 hours Lt. Stillson was dispatched to the 4200 block of Newbury Road, Belpre Township, in reference to two individuals being threatened by a man with a knife.  The subjects were fishing at the time.  The male was identified as Zachary Wilson Judy.  Judy had lost his phone and blamed the two men for stealing it.  They stated that an argument ensued and ended with Judy producing a knife and charging at them aggressively, then stopping and returning to his vehicle.   While Lt. Stillson was at the scene Judy returned and denied having an argument, producing a knife or even charging the two men. When asked if Judy had a knife, he produced a pocket knife, which matched the description given by the two men of the knife Judy h​ad shown.   A summons is being requested for Judy, age 38, 108 Franklin Drive, Little Hocking, OH, on a charge of aggravated menacing. 

1 Apr 2026 Deputy Huck recovered a syringe containing possibl​e methamphetamine.  This evidence was ​marked for disposal.

1 Apr 2026 Sgt. Farrell encountered Richard Paul Bohl at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at the Courthouse.  Bohl requested to speak with Sheriff Warden, however he was not available at the time.  ​Bohl was asked if someone else could assist him​ and Sgt. Farrell proceeded to offer his assistance.  Bohl immediately turned to the officer and became verbally abusive, stating he was stupid and swearing at him, not wishing to speak with him.  Officers immediately advised Bohl that he was to be escorted out of the courthouse for his behavior, in which he continued swearing at Sgt. Farrell.  As Bohl was being assisted to the one way entrance he was resisting​ officers and eventually fell to the ground.  The Marietta City FD was contacted to check Bohl in which he refused transport and was escorted from the courthouse.  A summons is being requested for Bohl, 12530 SR 60, Lowell, OH, for disorderly conduct.

2 Apr 2026 Deputy Gerber was on patrol near the intersection of Putnam Street and Second Street, Pioneer Township, when he observed a 2004 blue Chrysler Crossfire bearing Ohio registration fail to use the​ left turn signal when turning from Putnam Street to Second Street. As Deputy Gerber passed the ​vehicle he noted the operator was Brett Shank.  Being familiar with Shank, a traffic stop was conducted as he was aware that Shank was driving with a suspended license.  A citation was issued to Shank, 817 Grandview Avenue, New Matamoras, OH, for driving under suspension.

2 Apr 2026 Deputy Davis initiated an investigation into a check which was mailed in Washington County and​ stolen/intercepted by an individual and the pay to the order was changed​ to another name and cashed. 

2 Apr 2026 Deputy Mays was advised to make contact with an individual regarding evidence of a TPO Violation.  It was reported that Harold I Brown was making contact with the protected party of a protection order through Marietta Municipal Court.  The messages were viewed by Deputy Mays and information was gathered that Brown had been advised of the protection order prior to release from the Washington County Jail.  Harold Ivan Brown, 1320 Drag Strip Road, Belpre, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with violation of a protection order.

2 Apr 2026 Sgt. Ullom began an investigation into a resident being scammed out of approximately $1​,000.00.  This scammer requested Apple gift cards reference Publishers Clearing House.

2 Apr 2026 while Deputy Wallace was on patrol on Interstate 77 she paced a vehicle at 73 mph in a posted 70 mph for approximately 2 miles. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle bearing OH registration.  Contact was made with the driver, Deryl E. Wilson, 690 Dixon Ridge Road, Lowell, OH.  A consent to search was obtained and a prescription bottle was located​ with the name torn off of the bottle​, which contained  Amphetamine Salts, Adderall. Wilson advised they were not his​, that he had given a friend ​a​ ride to court and she had left them in his vehicle.  Wilson was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail for possession of drugs.

John Douglas Pugh, age 46, Marietta, OH, inducing panic, trespass in a habitation, both felonies, aggravated menacing and criminal trespass, both misdemeanors.

Christopher Carl Douglas, age 59, Marietta, OH, strangulation 2 counts and domestic violence, all felonies.

Matthew Thomas Sandy, age 43, Reno, OH, kidnapping, inducing panic, theft of a motor vehicle, all felonies, and assault, a misdemeanor.

Willis Virgil Thompson, age 49, Mantuna, OH, probation violation and breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors.

Chelsey Dawn Mender, age 42, Cutler, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Timothy Mark Frederick, age 54, Guysville, OH, aggravated possession of drugs, a felony.

Michael Alexander Matarrita Demarsh, age 19, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Austin Wesley Rose, age 26, Marietta, OH, assault, a misdemeanor.

Victor Dwayne Briscoe, age 48, Belpre, OH, domestic violence and probation violation, both misdemeanors.

Shawn Charles Littleton, age 52, Marietta, OH, possession of fentanyl related compound, a felony.

Misty Louise Caldwell, age 48, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs and illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse, detention mental health facility, both felonies.

Jacob Travis Sparks, age 24, Davisville, WV, having physical control of vehicle while under the influence, a misdemeanor.

Timothy James Nelson, age 44, Little Hocking, OH, confine, restrain dogs, all misdemeanor.

Lindsey Ray Adkins, age 42, New Matamoras, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
