26 Mar 2026 Deputy Pugh was dispatched to 417 Cross Road, Dunham Township to a report of a verbal argument between an individual and Joseph Harvey. Prior to arrival Harvey had left the residence and met with an officer down the road. Harvey stated he was in an argument with another individual over insurance matters. Harvey stated the argument was all verbal and not physical. The Sheriff’s Office has responded to this residence multiple times for arguments. Due to the turbulent behavior and frequent arguments a summons is being requested for Joseph D. Harvey, on a charge of disorderly conduct.
26 Mar 2026 Deputy Pugh began an investigation into a trespassing complaint in Belpre Township.
27 Mar 2026 Deputy Gerber began an investigation into a stolen license plate from a trailer in Marietta Township.
27 Mar 2026 Lt. Tucker was working at the Washington County Jail when he was notified by Corrections Sgt. Skidmore that Nathan Tyler Caplinger, who was currently incarcerated in the Washington County Jail, had a warrant out of Wood County, WV, for petition to revoke probation. Lt. Tucker verified through jail records that Caplinger’s date of birth, and SSN matched with the warrant. A charge of fugitive from justice was filed on Caplinger, 60 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, OH.
28 Mar 2026 Deputies in the area of Butler and Front Street, Marietta, Pioneer Township, observed a Marietta PD officer having a conversation with the driver of a tractor trailer. Due to the deceptive behavior from the male, officers engaged in a consensual encounter in an attempt to gather more information. While officers made contact with the male, Deputy Bush observed a plastic bag under the trailer in front of the rear axle. The bag was retrieved and found to contain an additional 1 x 1 bag inside. Upon further inspection of the 1 x 1 bag, it was found to contain 1.43 grams of suspected cocaine. The male refused to identify himself to officers but later was identified as Yasir Mohamed, 2714 Hale Avenue, Louisville, KY. Mohamed was read his Miranda Rights however refused to answer any questions. Yasir Abdi Mohamed, age 25, 2714 Hale Avenue, Louisville, KY, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of drugs.
28 Mar 2026, Deputy Welch, while on patrol in the area of Greene Street and Seventh Street, Pioneer Township, observed a Red Hyundai Santa Fe bearing Ohio registration traveling at 15 MPH in a posted 35 MPH zone. The driver committed a marked lane violation, crossing the dotted white line with half of the vehicle without using a turn signal. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as Beverly G. Clark. Clark had slurred speech and was asked for her driver's license, registration, and insurance, which she provided. As Clark was being asked to step out of the vehicle, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. Clark was asked "On a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being completely sober and 10 being hammered drunk, where do you see yourself?" Clark replied with a 5. Clark consented to SFSTs, which she performed poorly. She was placed into custody and taken to the Marietta PD for further testing. Clark consented to the BAC test, where her BAC was 0.203. Clark was placed under arrest and charged with OVI and marked lanes violation. Clark, 1151 Scenicrest St. NW, Uniontown, OH, was processed at the Washington County Jail.
29 Mar 2026 deputies were dispatched to the Dollar General, State Route 60, Adams Township, in reference to an unresponsive female in a black SUV. Deputies located the vehicle bearing OH registration, running in front of the store. The driver, known to Deputy Wallace as Felicia Wallace, was in the driver’s seat and the sole occupant of the vehicle. Felicia was asked to step out of the vehicle to be evaluated by the squad. Felicia was unsteady on her feet and stated she just fell asleep in the vehicle. Felicia gave consent to search her vehicle and as the search was being conducted, the vehicle began to coast backwards as it was not in park. A snorting straw with residue was located. After being seen by squad personnel, Felicia was asked to perform the one leg stand, walk and turn and ARIDE to which she performed poorly on. Felicia advised she had smoked some THC a few hours ago and admitted to using methamphetamine a couple days ago. Felicia was arrested for OVI physical control and transported to the Ohio State Patrol where she provided a urine sample for testing. Felicia D. Wallace, 731 Center Street, Beverly, OH, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail charged with physical control-OVI, and possessing drug paraphernalia.
