25 Mar 2026 Deputy Gerber was on patrol near the 200 block of Greene Street, Pioneer Township, when a 2003 Ford Taurus, blue in color, bearing OH registration, failed to use a turn signal when turning into a local business.  A traffic stop was conducted and it was determined that the driver, Kevin A. Mehl, did not have a valid license. Dispatch advised the license was suspended.  A consent to search of the vehicle was given by Mehl at which time a hypodermic syringe was located.  Upon checking Mehl’s person, a second syringe was located, along with a clear plastic baggie of 2.50 suspected methamphetamine.  Kevin Alan Mehl, age 39, 10699 Ohio 550, Athens, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, a 5th degree felony.
