2 Feb 2026 deputies along with members of the Warren Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene of a deceased individual.
2 Feb 2026 Deputy Pugh began an investigation into the theft of cinders in Wesley Township.
3 Feb 2026 at approximately 0726 hours deputies responded to the area of Muskingum Drive, Marietta, OH, in reference to a report of a juvenile running away/escaping from the Juvenile Center. Numerous sightings were made on the juvenile who was eventually apprehended. Due to the above contributing circumstances, the juvenile is facing charges of obstructing official business, escape, and resisting arrest.
3 Feb 2026 deputies along with members of the Lowell Adams Vol. Fire Department responded to the scene of a deceased individual.
3 Feb 2026 Sgt. Parks completed an investigation on a runaway juvenile and charges are pending with the Juvenile Court.
4 Feb 2026 deputies conducted a welfare check finding the individual had passed away.
4 Feb 2026 Deputies Davis and Huck were travelling southbound on Gilman Avenue in the 900 block when they observed a red Saturn Vue bearing Ohio registration pass them. Deputy Davis was able to identify Matthew Sanford Nixon as the operator of the vehicle. Deputies were advised that Nixon was driving under a violator compact suspension. A traffic stop was imitated and Nixon advised he was aware of his suspension. A citation was issued to Nixon on that charge.
6 Feb 2026 Deputies along with the Devola Vol. Fire Department responded to the scene of a deceased individual.
6 Feb 2026 Deputy Thornberry began an investigation into identity fraud.
7 Feb 2026 at 0714 hours Deputy Thornberry was dispatched to Pennock Street, Beverly, OH, to a report of domestic violence. The caller advised of a verbal argument with Michele Hammon. The caller stated that Hammon grabbed him and began striking him in the face. Hammon then left the residence. A call was made to Hammon and she agreed to meet with Deputy Thornberry. Michele Ann Hammon, age 44, Beverly, OH, was transported to the Washington County Jail charged with domestic violence.
7 Feb 2026 Lt. M Johnson was northbound on State Route 7 when a black Hyundai Elantra passed him at a high rate of speed, also traveling northbound. Lt. Johnson sped up and began following/pacing the vehicle, advising dispatch as they were traveling at an estimated 80 mph in a posted 60 mph zone. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle in the 16700 block of State Route 7, Marietta, Warren Township. Contact was made with the driver and assistance was requested due to the driver not speaking English. A short time thereafter Lt. Johnson advised the subject took off and he was pursuing him northbound on State Route 7 at speeds in excess of 100 mph. Sgt. Augenstein, Deputies Tucker, Gainer and Thornberry responded to the area to assist. The vehicle was found to have wrecked on Bender Road, traveling through landscaping, taking out a mailbox and finally striking a tree. The male subject took off on foot in the 500 block of Bender Road. Deputies tracked the subject and located him in a wood shed in the area. The subject was identified as Miguel Angel Borjas Chirinos and he was taken into custody. After obtaining a translator it was determined that Chirinos lived in Parkersburg, WV, and was in the US illegally. Witnesses had observed the subject flee from the vehicle and yelled at the male who responded something to the effect of “please don’t tell, another country.” Once the male observed deputies arriving he continued fleeing. Miguel Angel Borjas Chirinos, age 21, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.

Brandon Antjaun Doughty, age 38, Columbus, OH, possession of cocaine, trafficking in cocaine, possession of drugs, 2 counts aggravated trafficking in drugs, and aggravated possession of drugs, all felonies.
Victor Michael Argumosa, Jr., age 34, Marietta, OH, probation of violation, OVI alcohol drugs of abuse or both, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs and turn/stop signal violation, all misdemeanors.
Rvgari Tomi Garrett, age 25, Akron, OH, driving under suspension and speed, both misdemeanors.
Felicia Dawn Barringer, age 46, Marietta, OH, tampering with evidence, a felony, and falsification, a misdemeanor.
Willis Virgil Thompson, age 49, Mantuna, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor and 2 counts contempt of court.
James Scott Noble, age 54, Guysville, OH, no seatbelt, and contempt of court, both misdemeanors.
