WCSO Mounted Unit Makes First Public Appearance
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Unit recently made its first public appearance at the River City Farmers Market in Marietta, introducing several of our horses and volunteer members to the community.
“We are so proud of our new Mounted Unit, and the River City Farmers Market in Marietta was a special place for our first public showing,” said Sherrie Warden, Coordinator of the WCSO Mounted Unit.
The Mounted Unit is made up entirely of volunteers who generously provide their own time, resources, and horses. Our team enjoyed meeting visitors, answering questions, and giving some community members their very first opportunity to meet and pet a horse.
A special thank-you to the River City Farmers Market for welcoming our unit and providing a great setting for this memorable first appearance.
