Earlier this year, Sheriff Mark Warden launched the **I.G.N.I.T.E. program—Inmate Growth Naturally & Intentionally Through Education—**at the Washington County Jail. Today, we proudly celebrated the program’s first graduating class.

Sheriff Warden stated;
“This program represents hope and second chances. I.G.N.I.T.E. is about equipping individuals with the tools to succeed once they leave our facility, and today is proof that hard work pays off.”

Commissioner James Booth also encouraged the graduates, stating:
“Nobody can tell you, you can’t do it.”

Graduates received certificates in Hydro Pump Operations, GED accomplishments, Triple P Parenting, ServSafe Person-in-Charge, as well as the I.G.N.I.T.E.’D Inmate Award, which is presented to the individual who best promotes positivity among their peers.
