10 Sept 2025 at 0705 hrs. Deputy Davis was patrolling Washington Street, Pioneer Township, when a black pickup truck made a left hand turn onto Second Street from Washington Street, which is prohibited between the hours of 0700 and 0900. A traffic stop was initiated on the truck, bearing Ohio registration. The driver and only occupant was identified as Chad R. Carpenter. K9 Ivar performed a free air sniff around the vehicle. K9 Ivar indicated the odor of narcotics near the driver door. Carpenter was removed from the vehicle while a search was conducted. Inside the vehicle was a glass smoking device, which contained meth residue. A summons is being requested for Chad R. Carpenter, age 40, 108 Maple Shade Drive, Marietta, OH, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
11 Sept 2025 Deputy Norris was dispatched to a runaway in Grandview Township. Numerous deputies, law enforcement, K9 Sooga and the Drone Unit responded. The child later returned home.
11 Sept 2025 Deputy Morris to the 16 mile marker on I77, Aurelius Township, regarding a call from Samantha Snyder, reporting a domestic violence with the occupant of the vehicle. Deputy Morris spoke with both subjects and it was determined a verbal argument ensued between the two of them. The driver pulled over, wanting Snyder to get a ride from someone else, and attempted to push Snyder from the vehicle. Snyder was able to punch the victim in the chest, lip and pull his facial hair. Injuries were observed to his face and chest area. Due to Samantha Snyder, age 34, 25526 Cemetary Street, Coolville, OH, being the primary aggressor she was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
12 Sept 2025 Deputy Thornberry began an investigation into a burglary in Muskingum Township. After conducting the investigation the victim did not wish to pursue charges. This matter is closed.
13 Sept 2025 Sgt. Huffer completed a private property accident report where Marcia Pressler, Browns Road, Marietta, OH, pulled from a gas pump with the nozzle still in the vehicle.
13 Sept 2025 Sgt. Huffer was dispatched to Reed Road, Lawrence Township, Marietta, OH, to a domestic violence complaint where William Treadway had slapped the victim. Sgt. Huffer met with both subjects at which time Treadway immediately advised him to put handcuffs on him, as he admitted to slapping the victim. Treadway advised he slapped the victim when she stated she would not stop communicating with another subject. Treadway stated he knew he shouldn’t have slapped her and was sorry for doing so. The victim admitted to calling Treadway a name before he slapped her. William Treadway, 1389 Reed Road, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail charged with domestic violence. 14 Sept 2025 Treadway was interviewed regarding having weapons while he was under disability. Treadway advised he did not go through the proper legal process to be allowed to own firearms again. Treadway thought after 10 years of post-release he was automatically allowed to own them. Treadway was charged with having weapons under disability. Those firearms have been taken as evidence.
13 Sept 2025 Deputy Thornberry responded to conduct a welfare check in Belpre Township. Upon arrival at the vehicle the occupant was identified as Timothy Frederick, who had multiple warrants within the extradition radius. Frederick was placed under arrest and a consent to search was obtained for the vehicle. A loaded syringe and .17 grams of suspected methamphetamine was located in the vehicle. Frederick advised the syringe contained “meth wash” and the .17 grams was in fact methamphetamine. Timothy Mark Frederick, age 54, 275 Dutch Ridge Road, Guysville, OH, was charged with possession of a control substance. Frederick was transported to the Washington County Jail on that charge, along with warrants for failure to appear (Meigs County), driving under suspension, failure to control, theft without consent, and criminal trespass (Athens County).
15 Sept 2025 while on patrol Deputy Wallace observed a turn signal violation by a vehicle with New Jersey registration. A traffic stop was initiated in the 700-B of Pike Street, Pioneer Township. Contact was made with the driver, Brian Davis, and passenger, Kenneth Polk. Dispatch advised that Davis did not have a valid license. A warrant was found active for Polk out of New Orleans PD for false imprisonment, 2 counts battery of a dating partner, and strangulation. Polk’s information was compared to that on the warrant, confirming he was the subject of the warrant. The warrant was confirmed through New Orleans PD. A charge of fugitive from justice was filed on Kenneth Ray Polk, Jr., age 41, 2711 Jonquil Street, New Orleans, LA. A citation for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license was issued to Brian A. Davis, 287 Capitol Drive, Avondale, LA.
15 Sept 2025 Deputy Talarico responded to Waterford Township to a report of damage to fencing.

Elijah Zane Fickiesen, age 23, Reno, OH, domestic violence and strangulation, both felonies.
Pierre Taylor Peterson, age 32, Akron, OH, possession of drugs (marijuana), a misdemeanor.
Issiah James Michael Mantz, age 24, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Noah Luke Rutter, age 28, Parkersburg, WV, animal at large, a misdemeanor.
Jeremiah Earl Rutter, age 29, Nelsonville, OH, driving under suspension, no seatbelt and speed >60, all misdemeanors.
Juanita Marie Brill, age 50, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Jonathan Hart Mayweather, age, Euclid, OH, possession of drugs and trafficking in drugs, both felonies.
There are currently 30 women and 99 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
