21 Aug 2025 Deputy Welch began an investigation into a scam perpetrated through an app called “Plenty of Fish”. This case remains under investigation.
21 Aug 2025 Det. Sgt. Painter, while patrolling I77 southbound, Marietta Township, when a passenger vehicle bearing KY registration followed the vehicle in front of it too close for the speeds it was traveling, as well as the vehicle having a defective license plate light. The vehicle was paced at 80 MPH in a posted 70 MPH zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver and passenger were identified. The driver, Allen Bradley, was asked for vehicle information while a free air sniff was conducted with Deputy Davis and K9 Ivar. Bradley was asked to exit the vehicle and paraphernalia was observed protruding from his pocket. A subsequent search of his person revealed multiple paraphernalia, specifically tinfoil with burnt residue, indicative of illegal drug use. The passenger, Kasandra Prater, exited the vehicle and during a pat down surrendered a piece of folded tinfoil and a snorting device, which is indicative of drug use. A search of the vehicle produced an abundance of paraphernalia to include tinfoil, scales, glass smoking pipes, and cutting agents, all of which are indicative of drug trafficking. Bradley and Prater were Mirandaized and questioned about the items which were located. Both subjects were arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail. Once at the jail an inspection of the rear of the patrol cruiser was checked for contraband. A bag of suspected fentanyl and a bag of unidentified pills were located where Prater was seated. When weighed, the bag of fentanyl weighed 5.92 grams in its packaging. Allen Blaine Bradley, age 36, LKA: PO Box 675, Mt. Gay, WV, was charged with dealing in drug paraphernalia and trafficking in fentanyl. Kasandra L Prater, age 28, LKA: 114 E. 2nd Avenue, Williamson, WV, was charged with dealing in drug paraphernalia, possession of fentanyl related compound and trafficking in fentanyl related compound.
21 Aug 2025 Deputy Talarico issued a citation to William Edward Vandel, 177 Rector Road, Creston, WV, for driving a motor vehicle without a driver’s license and fictitious license plate.
23 Aug 2025 Deputy Davis issued a citation to John I. Kinney, 106 S. Market Street, Clarington, OH, for disregarding a traffic control device.
23 Aug 2025 Deputy Gerber spoke with an individual who had been threatened by Gerald Kimble. It was reported Kimble threatened to kill her and choked her. Kimble had become angry and aggressive towards the complainant. After a verbal argument, Kimble approached the complainant screaming and cussing at her, then picking up a chair and throwing it in her direction. Previous threats of harm were also reported to law enforcement. A warrant was requested and issued for Gerald Lee Kimble II, age 60, Marietta, OH. 3 Sept 2025 Kimble was placed under arrest on the warrant and processed into the Washington County Jail on a charge of domestic violence and strangulation.
23 Aug 2025 Deputy Bush responded to the Dollar General, Marietta Township, in reference to a stolen motor vehicle being at this location. Jacob Mustard had taken the vehicle from Dunham Township. Mustard was located inside and stated he took the vehicle to meet with a girl, and knew he should not have taken it. The owner was contacted and advised that Mustard did not have permission to take the vehicle. The vehicle was recovered and turned over to an individual per the victim. Jacob Tyler Mustard, age 29, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with theft.

Nathaniel Paul Webb, III, age 32, Malta, OH, abduction, strangulation, both felonies, aggravated menacing, domestic violence, assault and unlawful restraint, all misdemeanors.
There are currently 19 women and 91 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
