8 May 2025 Deputy Gerber responded to a domestic dispute at 630 Mercer Road, Stockport, Wesley Township, following a report from Jodi Ditterline involving her and a family member. Ditterline contacted dispatch, stating she had left the residence and would meet a deputy at the end of the road. Upon Deputy Gerber’s arrival, Ditterline was not present, and the vehicle was found in the driveway. Deputy Gerber was advised Ditterline left in a black Toyota. In speaking with the family member, he stated that after returning home early from work, which upset Ditterline, who had been drinking and became belligerent, a verbal argument escalated. Ditterline then threw a drying rack of dishes across the kitchen in the victim’s direction, shattering them on the floor. Deputy Gerber observed the broken dishes on the scene. It was further reported that the argument turned physical, with Ditterline allegedly biting the victim’s hand, leaving visible teeth marks, scratching his stomach and chest, and striking him above his left eye. Ditterline also reportedly threw a glass butter bowl, which struck the wall and shattered, leaving butter residue on the wall near the victim. Video footage provided corroborated these accounts, showing Ditterline attacking the victim and ripping his shirt in half as he attempted to retreat. Deputy Gerber requested a warrant for the arrest of Jodi Michelle Ditterline, age 39, on a charge of domestic violence. Ditterline was taken into custody later that same date and processed into the Washington County Jail.
There are currently 15 women and 97 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
