24 Jun 2025 Deputy Davis responded to Sponeys IGA due to a report of a male subject attempting to steal a case of beer and a prepackaged “cold dinner.” The male identified himself as Ernest Brown. Brown confessed that he walked into the store and walked out with a case of beer without paying. A summons is being requested for Ernest L. Brown, 903 Mitchell Avenue, Apt. H, Beverly, OH, on a charge of theft.
24 Jun 2025 at approximately 0917 hours Deputy Norris was dispatched to Newport Township, in regards to two subjects out in the yard arguing and screaming. Deputy Norris met with Jeffery McCloud who stated the other party yelled at him over the cooler being knocked over and that he threw water on her. McCloud denied anything being physical between the two. It was reported to Sgt. Augenstein that McCloud had spit on the victim several times, kicked her in the knee and slapped her in the face. She further stated that he made a statement about killing her. Jeffery Scott McCloud, age 32, 112 Deer Haven Street, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.
24 Jun 2025 Deputy Norris completed an Ohio Traffic Crash Report at the Frontier Boat Ramp, Grandview Township. No injuries were reported.
24 Jun 2025 Deputy Gainer completed an Ohio Traffic Crash Report at the intersection of Albright road and State Route 339, Waterford Township. No injuries were reported.

Javrielle Divine Cooper, age 21, Columbus, OH, tampering with evidence, a felony.
Kelly Lee Moon Gammon, age 56, Williamstown, WV, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Karl Shane Wedekamm, age 58, Little Hocking, OH, pandering sexual oriented matter involving a minor, pandering obscenity, illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance - photograph or transfer, 2 counts, and illegal use of minor or impaired person in nudity oriented material, all felonies.
Chad Michael Wilson, age 39, Parkersburg, WV, contempt of court, a felony, petty theft and drug paraphernalia.
James Ryan Andrews, age 40, Little Hocking OH, contempt of court, a felony, and disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
Joseph Lee Kellison, age 37, Belpre, OH, disrupting public service and domestic violence, both felonies.
There are currently 19 women and 101 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
