26 Jul 2025 Lt. Brown was advised of an assault/domestic violence complaint which had occurred at the Par Mar gas station, State Route 339, Dunham Township. Lt. Brown responded to the caller’s residence. The caller reports arriving at the store and observed a male subject, known to him, assaulting a female. The caller advised the subject, Timothy Mackey, to stop. Mackey approached the caller and chest bumped him. Mackey stated that he would assault him at a later time. Mackey left the female at the gas station and drove away. Lt. Brown approached the Mackey residence but was unable to make contact. Lt. Brown was able to view security footage and observed Mackey walk up to the female and smack her in the head. The victim falls backwards and Mackey strikes her again and rips the phone from her hand, trying to keep the phone from her. Mackey is then seen walking over to our caller and chest bumping him. Mackey then left in the red Chevrolet. A warrant is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for the arrest of Timothy Scott Mackey, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, OH, for domestic violence, assault, disrupting public service and driving under suspension.
30 Jul 2025 at approximately 0940 hours Deputy Mays was advised of a malfunctioning jail camera. Deputy Mays was able to view footage of John Craig Daniels (current inmate) standing on top of the toilet seat and spinning the camera lens with his hands, just 20 minutes prior. This is what ultimately caused the camera to malfunction. Daniels was removed from the cell and placed in another location. Daniels began trying to make phone calls, growing more and more frustrated due to them not connecting. Daniels was advised that the phones were not working correctly, with him continuing to attempt the calls with increased frustration. At approximately 0953 hours Daniels forcefully removed the steel phone from the concrete wall resulting in the phone landing on the floor and being inoperable. Daniels, 113 Sacra Via Street, Marietta, OH, was charged with vandalism, obstructing official business and disrupting public service,
31 Jul 2025 deputies along with the Dunham Volunteer Fire Department responded to Veto Lake where a subject had fallen in the water and was unresponsive.
31 Jul 2025 Deputy Tucker responded to Barlow Township to a report of tools being stolen from a building on the homeowner’s property.
31 Jul 2025 Deputy Groves filed charges for permitting a horse to run at large on Josh L. Beatty, 471 Tullius Road, Amesville, OH. On 24 Jul 2025 Deputy Groves responded to Wesley Township to a report of this same horse being loose multiple times.

Stephanie Dawn Gallman, age 43, Woodsfield, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Michael David Wells, age 38, Alderson, WV, trafficking in drugs, fentanyl and possession of drugs, both felonies.
Charles Albert McCarty, age 57, Parkersburg, WV, receiving stolen property, a felony.
Ruben Luis Aguilar, age 38, Clarksburg, WV, possession of cocaine, possession of drugs, and trafficking in cocaine, all felonies.
Jeffrey Michael Peer, age 23, Marietta, OH, parole violation, a felony.
Jeffrey Allen Stewart, age 51, Fleming, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
There are currently 17 women and 87 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
