​24 Jul 2025 deputies began the search for a 17 year old Adams Township residence.  The child was located.

27 Jul 2025 Deputy Norris began an investigation into a dog biting a juvenile. This case remains under investigation.

28 Jul 2025 information was received that Isaiah Thomas Hinson was at a residence in Belpre Township in violation of a no contact order.  The protected person’s address was the location where Hinson was reported to be located.  Hinson had been observed driving a vehicle at that location and it was confirmed that Hinson was served a copy of the no contact order upon his release from Washington County Jail.  Hinson, age 19, 66 Crihfield Drive, Nelsonville, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with violating a protection order.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail 29 Jul 2025:

Charles Anzel Sherjuan Lavar Clark, age 20, Edna, OH, aggravated murder, murder, obstructing justice, 2 counts, tampering with evidence, trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and conspiracy, all felonies.

Megan Nicole Trefz, age 35, Williamstown, WV, forgery, a felony.

Derek Ryan Whytsell, age 44, strangulation and disrupting public service, both felonies.

Dalton Lee Burt, age 32, Stockport, OH, violate a protection order, intimidation and domestic violence, all misdemeanors. 

There are currently 16 women and 83 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
