‍7 Oct 2026 Deputy Gerber was patrolling the 11,000 block of State Route 7 in the southbound lane, Belpre Township, when he observed a white 4 door sedan bearing OH registration commit several marked lanes violations. A traffic stop was initiated at Lockhart Street.  The driver, Joseph A. Stewart, was found to have a confirmed suspended driver’s license.  Stewart appeared to be very nervous in several different ways, i.e. suddenly sweating profusely, unable to locate documents, rummaging through vehicle compartments, shaky hands, as well as asking if he was going to jail.  Stewart was asked to step out of the vehicle.  When asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, such as guns or narcotics of any type. Stewart finally answered that there was a meth bubble on the floor with meth in it.  A search was completed and a clear plastic baggie containing 1.46 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a circular metal container with suspected meth residue, were located.  Joseph Anthony Stewart, age 41, 46021 SR 7, New Matamoras, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of drugs. 

8 Oct 2026 Deputy McElroy conducted a traffic stop on a blue Kia Optima on State Route 676, Warren Township, due to the license plate registered to a Jeep, and the license plate lights were inoperable. The registered owner/operator was identified as Dylan Kamen Denton.  An open case of beer was observed next to Denton. Denton stated he had consumed two beers prior to the stop.  Denton had bloodshot and glassy eyes, and an odor of an alcoholic beverage.  During the SFSTs he performed poorly.  Denton then stated he had consumed 8 alcoholic beers in the past few hours. Denton was transported to the Ohio State Highway Patrol office to conduct a voluntary breath sample with the results being .165 bac.  Dylan Kamen Denton, age 26, 1610 North Street, Stockport, OH, was arrested and charged with OVI alcohol drug of abuse or both, driving under OVI suspension, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, fictitious plates, open container and probation violation.  Denton was processed at the Washington County Jail.

Jordan Matthew Nichols, age 36, Marietta, OH, 6 counts pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, 3 counts gross sexual imposition, 3 counts grooming and 2 counts public indecency, all felonies.

Randall Drake Logan Taylor, age 31, Newark, OH, OVI alcohol drug of abuse or both, driving under suspension, no seatbelt and expired tags, all misdemeanors.

Braxton Lee Frye, age 21, Vienna, WV, felonious assault, a felony and assault, a misdemeanor.

Ashley Danielle Patel, age 41, Belpre, OH,  probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Halee Ann Bigler, age 21, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Dylan Kamen Denton, age 26, Stockport, OH, OVI alcohol drug of abuse or both, driving under OVI suspension, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, fictitious plates, open container and probation violation, all misdemeanors.
