12 Aug 2026 Deputies along with personnel with the Dunham Vol. Fire Department responded to the scene of a deceased individual in Dunham Township.

12 Aug 2026 Deputy McElroy responded to Marietta Township to a disturbance involving excessive yelling and things being thrown about.  After arriving and conducting the investigation, it was determined that charges of domestic violence would be filed on the juvenile in this investigation.  The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Center.

13 Aug 2026 Deputy Huck was dispatched to Newport Township in reference to a disturbance.  After arriving and conducting the investigation it was determined that charges of domestic violence would be filed on the juvenile in this investigation. The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Center.

13 Aug 2026 Deputy McElroy responded to Mitchell Avenue, Apt. A, Waterford Township, to conduct a welfare check of multiple juveniles at the residence. Hope Maxwell was reported to be at work while Micah Maxwell had been at the residence, however left the residence, leaving the children unattended.  Hope was located at work and accompanied officers to the apartment where the children were located alone.  All children were located upstairs with one child alone in a pack-and-play.  The residence was found to be in complete disarray.  A summons is being requested for Hope Rebekah Maxwell, age 33, and Micah Benjamin Maxwell, age 30, on a charge of endangering children.

15 Aug 2026 while Deputy Wallace was on patrol on State Route 7 near Gantsville Road, Belpre Township, when she observed a vehicle bearing Ohio registration with a cracked windshield.  A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, Kimberly Smith, and the passenger, Michael Divincenzo.  Dispatch advised of an active warrant for Divincenzo and he was detained. Smith began looking for insurance and registration cards when Deputy Wallace observed Narcan.  K9 Mauser  was deployed and indicated on the vehicle.  Smith exited the vehicle and during the pat down a foreign object was located in her bra.  The items was removed being a baggy with suspected methamphetamine weighing 1.92 grams tpw. The search of the vehicle also yielded a glass smoking device with residue.  Kimberly Sue Smith, age 58, 31425 Hatfield Road, Rutland, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of drugs. 

15 Aug 2026 Deputy Gerber was patrolling the area of State Route 339, Dunham Township when he observed a Jeep operating with an expired registration.  The expired registration was confirmed and a traffic stop was conducted.  Michael P. Walker, 2836 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, OH, was found to be driving on a suspended license.  A citation was issued to Walker.

16 Aug 2026 Deputy Gerber was patrolling near the intersection of Wayne Street and E 8th Street, Pioneer Township, when he observed a tan Pontiac 4-door Sedan bearing Ohio registration fail to use the right turn signal multiple times.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver identified. The passenger, Thomas Rodes, was constantly fidgeting with his hands, moving at a very quick pace as if he was trying to speed the traffic stop along. Deputy Davis utilized narcotics detection K9 Ivar to perform a free air sniff around the vehicle. K9 Ivar indicated to the odor of narcotics near the passenger side door.  A search of Rodes was conducted and located in his right pocket was 2.28 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and a glass smoking device with residue.  Thomas W. Rodes, 127 Ward Street, Marietta, OH, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on a charge of possession of drugs.

16 Aug 2026 Deputy Moss conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Pike Street, Pioneer Township, on a Buick displaying Ohio registration.  The driver was identified as Tyler Boothby, who was confirmed as having an active warrant for his arrest.  While Deputy Moss was walking up to the vehicle he observed the driver reach under the seat. Boothby quickly  attempted to exit the vehicle, and was removed and taken to the patrol vehicle.  Boothby consented to a search of his pockets where a smoking pipe with burn marks and residue was located. Boothby stated he had just recently used drugs the day prior. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and a piece of foil was located under the driver’s seat that contained a white powder suspected to be fentanyl.  Boothby, 10 Browns Road, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest for possession of drugs. 

16 Aug 2026 Deputy Moss assisted the Marietta City Police Department with an investigation.

17 Aug 2026 Deputy Gainer responded to Congress Road in Belpre Township regarding a subject driving a truck through a yard and damaging the septic tank.  The vehicle, a red in color GMC truck bearing Ohio registration, was found to be registered to Trey Robert Rice. A male subject came outside and turned the truck off.  The male was asked if the truck was his, and he advised it was.  The male was asked for identification and he advised it was inside.  The male was advised to obtain that information so the registered owner could be confirmed.  The male subject never came back outside and absconded out the back of the residence.  The male was confirmed to be Trey Rice.  A warrant is being requested for the arrest of Rice, 5999 N. Torch Road, Little Hocking, OH, on a charge of obstruction of official business.

17 Aug 2026 Deputy Groves was dispatched to Bender Road, Warren Township, to a report of a dog  attacking a lady’s goats.  Deputy Groves responded and was able to secure the dog.  The owner of the goats and Deputy Groves examined three goats with one appearing to have some injuries. Contact was made with the dog owner, Becca Clifton, 1509 Bender Road, and the dog was transported to the residence. Clifton was advised that a summons would be requested on a charge of failure to restrain due to the dog causing damage to the goats. 

17 Aug 2026 Deputy McElroy was north bound on I77, Pioneer Township, when a vehicle previously observed to have only one operating headlight was travelling in front of him. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Veronika Ravin Stephens, 31888 Hartshorn Ridge Road, Lewisville, OH. A check of Stephens’ driving status revealed she was under child support suspension.  A citation was issued to Stephens and she was released to a licensed driver.

17 Aug 2026 at approximately 2329 hrs. Deputy Huck observed a silver Hyundai bearing West Virginia registration traveling eastbound on Lord Street in Pioneer Township.  The vehicle traveled past the designated stop bar at the corner of Lord and Franklin Streets.  A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle was approached.  The driver was identified as Tyas Morgan Lipscomb with a WV identification card, which stated it was not a driver’s license.  Lipscomb’s driving privileges were confirmed and Lipscomb, 1121 Putnam Howe Drive, Belpre, OH, was issued a citation for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license.   

18 Aug 2026 Deputy Tucker began an investigation in Adams Township of a stolen/returned “no parking” sign. 

19 Aug 2026 Deputy Groves was advised that the Belpre P.D. was handling a dog bite in their jurisdiction. Deputy Groves responded to MMH Belpre ER and spoke with the victim who advised that she was walking her dog on the sidewalk past a business on Washington Boulevard when a German Shepherd left that location and attack her dog. During the course of the fight the victim was bitten on the left calf and received multiple lacerations. The victim’s dog received a puncture wound and was favoring its right front paw.  Justin Allen advised that he received a call concerning this event at 0835 hrs. but that he was not at work yet.  Allen stated that the dog did leave the business and attacked the victim and her dog but that this was uncharacteristic of the dog as the dog does stay at the business full time.  Allen, 859 Bull Creek Road, Waverly, WV, was advised that he would be receiving a summons for failure to properly restrain his dog. 

19 Aug 2026 Deputy Davis began an investigation in Muskingum Township where a subject was sending money attempting to make a purchase trough FB Marketplace before realizing it was a scam.

19 Aug 2026 Deputy Moss began an investigation into a missing purse in Grandview Township.

20 Aug 2026 at approximately 4:37 am Deputy McElroy observed a red 2011 Toyota Camry, traveling eastbound in the 26000-block of State Route 7, Marietta Township. It was noted that the vehicle had its high-beam headlights illuminated and was failing to dim them for oncoming traffic. A traffic stop  was conducted and the operator was identified as Rebecca Lynn Evans. A check of Evans driving status revealed she was under an active non-compliance suspension with active dates, 05/23/2026-indefinite.  A citation was issued to Evans, 504 6th Street, Lowell, OH, on a charge of driving under suspension.  Evans was released after a licensed driver took over operation of the vehicle.

Lindsey Ray Adkins, Jr., age 42, New Matamoras, OH, using weapons while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. 

Kristin Hope Linley, age 37, Guysville, OH, probation violation, a felony.

Carla Yvonne Clark, age 42, Stockport, OH, probation violation, 2 counts, both felonies.

Seth Taylor Venham, age 40, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs, a felony.

Marisa Heaven Lyshae Richards, age 23, Belpre, OH, a misdemeanor.

James Edward Beichler, age 77, homeless, pandering sexually oriented matter involving minor(s), a felony.

Mark Andrew Lowers, age 33, Vincent, OH, driving under suspension, failure to control and no seatbelt, all misdemeanors.

Hope Rebekah Maxwell, age 33, Beverly, OH, endangering  children, a misdemeanor.

Clifford Goans Batten, age 41, Parkersburg, WV, possession of drug abuse instruments.
