10 Jul 2026 Deputy McElroy was conducting traffic control in a marked cruiser, traveling eastbound on State Route 7 nearing Newbury Road, Belpre Township. Deputy McElroy observed a red 2005 Ford F-150 bearing Ohio registration traveling eastbound directly in front of the marked patrol vehicle. The pickup truck driver made multiple marked lane violations, including straddling the dashed lane divider. Emergency lights were activated to conduct a traffic stop and the driver did not immediately yield and continued to travel before finally pulling over, only after deputies activated emergency sirens. Contact was made at the passenger side of the vehicle with the operator, Eric S. Cunningham. Noted were Cunningham’s eyes being bloodshot and glassy, as well as him slurring his speech. A crushed Bud Ice was observed on the passenger side floorboards and deputies were able to smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from within the vehicle. It was requested that Cunningham exit the vehicle. Deputy McElroy began talking with Cunningham behind his pickup. Deputies also observed in plain view an opened Bud Ice which was cold to the touch and still had liquid inside. An attempt to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests met with negative results as the only test that was able to be offered was the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. During that test it was observed both eyes were bloodshot and glassy and his pupils were equal in size. Cunningham repeatedly refused to follow directions and would not follow the stimulus. Multiple times this was tried, however was not able to be completed. Cunningham admitted to consuming 2 Bud Ice, “large ones”, with dinner and he had an almost empty one in his door pocket. Eric Steven Cunningham, age 57, 9330 County Road 9, Reno, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Belpre PD where he was read the BMV225. Cunningham was given the opportunity to provide a voluntary breath sample to which he agreed resulting in a .152 BAC. Cunningham was released to a sober party after being charged with OVI and marked lanes.
11 Jul 2026 Deputy Thornberry began an investigation in Decatur Township of a stolen Honda Foreman 500 ATV.
11 Jul 2026 Deputy Mays and other deputies responded to 890 Luke Chute Road, Waterford Township, in reference to Michael Klintworth reporting a vehicle stolen. The party who he stated stole the vehicle called the office while officers were en route advising Klintworth had hit and beat her. The subject was no longer at the residence and advised Klintworth and her had been in an argument about their relationship and the dispute then turned physical. Michael Thomas Klintworth, age 38, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on a charge of domestic violence and strangulation.
11 Jul 2026 Deputy Mays arrested Lavontez S. Chisolm on a warrant out of Wood County, WV. The warrant was filed on July 6, 2026 on a charge of kidnapping. Chisolm was identified by his DOB, SSN, and physical description which matched the active warrant. A charge of being a fugitive from justice was filed on Chisolm, 8564 Cislo Court, North Charleston, SC.
14 Jul 2026 at 0525 hours Deputy Welch was dispatched to Main Street, Salem Township, in reference Tyler Nutter kicking in the door around 0300 hours. Nutter had attempted to kick in the door, however failed to do so. The door was now jammed shut and the deadbolt was bent. Nutter returned to the home at this time and entered through an unlocked door. The garage door and camera were viewed and it appeared they were damaged as well. Tyler J. Nutter, 18167 Kirkbride Hill Road, Pleasant City, OH, was located by the Noble County Sheriff’s Office and brought to Deputy Welch’s location. Nutter admitted to damaging both the house and garage door, and entering the home without the owner’s consent. Nutter was charged with criminal damaging and burglary.
14 Jul 2026 Lt. Tucker was advised by the Marietta City Law Director’s Office that inmate Timothy Paul Satterfield, had committed a protection order violation while in custody of the Washington County Jail. Two attempts had been made by Satterfield to phone a protected party from the Washington County Jail. Satterfield is being charges with violation of a protection order.

Zayden Jase Petry, age 23, Cumberland, OH, felonious assault, a felony, and domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Nicole Dawn Hathaway, age, Belpre, OH, probation violation, a ,misdemeanor.
Robert Romello Noseworthy, age 24, Lithopolis, OH, possession of drugs (Fairfield Co).
Rachael Diane Sargent, age 37, Marietta, OH, OVI alcohol, marked lanes and driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, all misdemeanors.
