Honoring a Lifetime of Service
Sheriff Mark Warden was honored with the the prestigious “Legion of Honor Humanitarian Award” at the 2026 Recognizing Excellence Gala, presented by the Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation and Kentucky Colonels.
The Legion of Honor Humanitarian Award is presented in recognition of a lifetime of service to all people, regardless of race or faith. This distinguished honor reflects Sheriff Warden’s unwavering commitment to serving the citizens of Washington County and his dedication to treating all individuals with compassion, dignity, and respect.
The annual Recognizing Excellence Gala honors local community heroes who have made a lasting impact through their dedication and service to others. Numerous community leaders, veterans, public safety professionals, family members, and supporters were in attendance for this special event.
This recognition adds to Sheriff Warden’s many accomplishments, including being named a Kentucky Colonel last year.
