2‍5 Jun 2026 Deputy Gerber was on routine patrol when he observed a red in color pick-up truck, bearing OH registration, fail to use a turn signal when transferring to the turning lane at Greene and Third Street.  Deputy Gerber determined the plate on the truck was fictitious. ‍ The traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Eldon Pierce. ‍  The passenger with Pierce, along with Pierce were found to have suspected driver’s license, therefore the vehicle as towed and Pierce, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, OH, was cited for driving under suspension and fictitious registration.  

‍25 Jun 2026 Deputy Welch assisted with the capture of a juvenile who had escaped the Juvenile Center.

‍25 Jun 2026 Deputy Bush conducted a theft investigation in Lawrence Township of a black car hauler.  This was later recovered.

‍5 Jun 2026 at 1741 hours Deputies were dispatched to Ridgewood Boulevard, Belpre Township in reference to intoxicated subjects engaged in a physical altercation.  Sgt. Ullom responded to the location and made contact with Logan Roberts and a female subject.  It was very apparent that Roberts was heavily intoxicated, with slurred speech and not being able to  stand upright without support.  The caller stated they heard a fight and exited their residence.  The other party was found to be Macklin Miller.  It appeared Miller sustained an apparent injury to his right eye.  Medical attention was offered and declined by Miller.  When asked what had taken place, Miller was not forthcoming with details. Sgt. Ullom spoke with Roberts, asking if he needed medical attention, with him stating no.  Roberts admitted that he was involved in a physical altercation with an individual at the residence, but was not forthcoming on the details.  Both subjects stated they did not want charges filed on the other.  A summons for disorderly conduct was filed on Logan Roberts, 715 Barclay Street, Belpre, OH, and Macklin Miller, Belpre, OH, through Marietta Municipal Court.

‍25 Jun 2026 while on Front Street at Sacra Via, Pioneer Township, Deputy Wallace observed a vehicle bearing OH registration with a white light emitting from the rear of the vehicle.  A traffic stop was initiated and contact made with Megan Gossett and passenger. Gossett appeared jittery and continued to behave in a nervous manner even after her license suspension was confirmed, which had discussed. A consent to search the vehicle was obtained.  While completing a pat down of Gossett, a crunch sound was heard, as her bras was being checked.  Gossett was asked what that sound was as it clearly wasn’t the material of her bra. Gossett denied having anything in her bra but then advised it was foil.  The burnt foil was removed from the bra and a search of the vehicle yielded 1.13 grams tpw  suspected methamphetamine and 0.90 grams tpw suspected fentanyl along with paraphernalia items.    Megan N. Gossett, 19360 State Route 550, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with possession, 2 counts.

‍27 Jun 2026 Deputy May recovered a bag of shrooms from a resident in Dunham Township.  These items will be marked for destruction. 

‍28 Jun 2026 at approximately 0131 hours Sgt. Parks was dispatched to School House Road, Decatur Township, in reference to a vehicle, unknown to property owners, being in their driveway.  Contact was made with the occupant of the vehicle, John David Giddings II, 6669  Red Coach Lane, Reynoldsburg, OH.  Giddings stated he stopped at the residence because he was sick, and then stated he believed someone was following him.  Giddings denied consuming any alcohol or drugs and appeared very nervous, not sitting still and handed Sgt. Parks his vehicle registration instead of his driver’s license.  An open can of Busch Lite was located in the center console. Giddings was asked to step from the vehicle at which time he began gathering items from the vehicle.  Giddings became upset when he was told to put the items down.  Giddings then opened the door and grabbed for something underneath the driver’s side seat.  Sgt. Parks ordered Giddings to put the items down, and put his hands behind his back.  Giddings did not comply with the orders given and began to run around the rear of the vehicle.  Giddings then fell and as he was being detained, began fighting with Sgt. Parks.  Giddings continued grabbing at Sgt. Parks’ arm and refused orders to stop.  Deputy Mays arrived on scene and assisted with gaining control of Giddings.  In the yard deputies recovered two bags of white powder consistent with fentanyl with one weighing 24.40 grams tpw and the second baggie with foil weighing 41.97 grams tpw.   While conducted the inventory of the vehicle a set of scales with white residue, 2 containers of Narcan and $250 cash was located. ‍Giddings was arrested for possession of drugs, trafficking in drugs, tampering with evidence, obstructing and resisting arrest.  Giddings was transported to the Washington County Jail.

‍ ‍29 Jul 2026 Deputy Bush responded to Warren Township to conduct a theft investigation of copper and tools. The theft loss is over $6000.

‍29 Jun 2026 Deputy Groves was dispatched to the 1000 block of Blennerhassett Avenue, Blennerhassett Township, to a report of a Black Lab and a German Shepherd running loose. Before arriving, Deputy Groves was advised that the dogs possibly belong to Eric Freed, 513 Blennerhassett Avenue, Belpre, OH.  Deputy Groves arrived and patrolled the area with no visual sightings of the dog. ‍Deputy Groves spoke with a subject at the residence and advised him that the dogs were loose and he confirmed the Freed dogs matched the description given. The subject was advised to have Eric Freed contact Deputy Groves.  A later call to Deputy Groves reported the dogs had walked into the MH-Belpre ER. ‍30 Jun 2026 Deputy Groves spoke with security at MMH-Belpre ER.  He confirmed the dogs walked in through the front door and into the lobby.  The dogs were secured and Freed was contacted about them and arrangements were made for the dogs to be taken home.   Deputy Groves spoke with Freed who advised the children kept letting the dogs out.  Freed was advised this was an ongoing problem and that multiple calls had been received.  A summons is being requested for Eric F. Freed for failure to confine and/or restrain dogs. ‍‍ ‍

30 Jun 2026 Deputy Welch assisted the Warren Water Department in Dunham Township.

‍1 Jul 2026 while on patrol near Belrock Avenue, Blennerhassett Township, Deputy Wallace observed a vehicle bearing WV registration commit a marked lanes and stop sign violation.  The vehicle continued on Putnam Howe Drive and stopped at Ohio Avenue.  A traffic stop was initiated and the male driver, later identified as Michael Forman, reached behind the driver’s side seat and retrieved a bag and placed it on the passenger seat.  Deputy Wallace approached the vehicle and observed the male continue to look out his side mirror while manipulating his shorts, close to his groin area.  A consent to search of the vehicle was requested in which Forman granted same.  Belpre PD was now on scene and completed a weapons check on Forman.  During the search of the vehicle, Deputy Wallace located a snorting straw with residue.  During the search of the bag (backpack) two pieces of folded foil, consistent with drug usage, were located.  Forman was asked when he last used narcotics and he advised he had relapsed, and the residue was pills he had snorted. Also located in the rear of the vehicle was a set of working scales.  Sgt. Ullom arrived and a search of Forman was conducted.  Sgt. Ullom located a foreign object in Forman’s groin area. Sgt. Ullom ultimately retrieved 22.30 grams tpw of suspected fentanyl from the groin area. Forman was read his Miranda Rights, with him remaining silent and not responding after they were read.  Michael A. Forman, age 45, 1604 Division Street, Ext., Parkersburg, WV, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of drugs, trafficking in drugs and tampering with evidence.  All charges are felonies of the 1st and 3rd degree.  Forman was transported to the Washington County Jail.

Tyler Blake Temple, age, Belpre, OH, disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, assault and obstructing official business, both felonies.‍ ‍‍‍‍
