22 Jun 2026 while on patrol near Hickory Grove, Deputy Wallace observed a vehicle bearing OH registration pull into the gas pumps. A male exited the vehicle then does not pump gas.  The driver got back in the vehicle and continued on State Route 339.  A traffic infraction was observed and a traffic stop initiated approximately 1000 feet from the local school.  Contact was made with the driver, Cody Lilly.  Dispatch advised Lilly was not a valid driver.  Lilly was asked if there were any firearms or narcotics inside the vehicle to which he responded, “no ma’am.”  Lilly denied a consent and was advised that the K9 Mauser would be deployed.  Lilly then advised “there might be a fake bb gun over here” as he pointed to the driver’s side door. Lilly was advised to step out of the vehicle which he initially did not comply but then decided it was the best idea.  Deputy Wallace observed and recovered 2 “fake” firearms located inside the vehicle.  A pat down for weapons was conducted.  Deputy Bush  on scene and K9 Mauser was deployed. K9 Mauser indicated on the rear of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a key box with 0.52 grams tpw of suspected methamphetamine.  Cody Marshall Lilly, age 38, 8415 State Route 550, Vincent, OH, was placed under arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail charged possession of drugs.

22 Jun2026 Lt. Augenstein began an investigation into a check that was changed and cashed for $9000 more than it was written for, as well as changing the pay to the order of name. 

23 Jun 2026 Deputy Gainer began an investigation in Warren Township of a stolen Subaru Legacy.  The vehicle has been recovered.

24 Jun 2026 at approximately 0105 hours Sgt. Parks was dispatched to State Route 7, Newport Township, to a report of subjects being on the individual’s property.  The caller believed they were attempting to break in.  Lt. Stillson assisted and officers were able to locate Jason S. Slonaker and Linda E. Slonaker inside a vehicle parked in the driveway of the property in question.  The caller allowed officers to view security footage which shows Jason walk up to the front door.  The caller claims he was beating on the door, and trying to get in.  Linda was seen standing near the vehicle they arrived in.  Both Slonakers were advised of their rights, with both indicating they understood.  Jason advised they had been at a friend’s house today and then were in Newport.  Jason further stated they walked across the bridge to St. Mary’s to purchase cigarettes, then noting they had no lighter so they stopped at this residence to get one.  Apparently the caller and Jason were known to each other.  Neither Jason nor Linda were invited to the property.  A summons for trespassing will be requested for Jason Scott Slonaker, 1207 Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, OH.  Linda Elizabeth Slonaker, 1207 Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, OH, was arrested on her active warrant and also charged with trespassing. 

24 Jun 2026 Deputy Welch was made aware by the Law Director’s Office that on 06-23-2026 at approximately 16:44, Brent Farmer violated his protection order.  On the 23rd of Jun 2026 Farmer drove past the victim’s residence in Adams Township.  An acquaintance of the victim observed Farmer driving on State Route 60, slow his vehicle, and waved both hands at the acquaintance, and continued driving. Farmer’s TPO states, "Defendant shall stay away from the protected person named in this order and shall not be present within 500 feet of any protected person wherever those protected persons may be found, or any place the defendant knows or should know the protected persons are likely to be, even with protected persons' permission."  State Route 60 is within the 500’ threshold of the residence, and is shown by the ankle monitor giving the above date and time in the location provided by the MMC Probation Office.  Brent Farmer, age 50, Waterford, OH, is being charged with violation of a protection order and was processed into the Washington County Jail.

Kylie Rae Farnsworth, age 23, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a felony.

Gavin Michael Rummer, age 19, Lowell, OH, strangulation, a felony, domestic violence and probation violation, both misdemeanors.

Juan Carlos Weaver, age 52, Marietta, OH, strangulation and domestic violence, both felonies, and domestic violence and strangulation, both misdemeanors.

Anthony Ray Hart, age 46, McConnelsville, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor, and contempt of court.

Liam Zane Tidd, age 21, Coolville, OH, probation violation, a felony.
