8 May 2026 Deputy Gerber was patrolling the area of Farson Street/Washington Boulevard, Belpre. A blue in color Chevy Cruze bearing WV registration committed a traffic offense and continued with other traffic violations upon turning on Washington Blvd. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as David K. Riel, and the passenger as Lori A. Schultz. Both Riel and Schultz were identified by their DOB and name due to having no physical driver’s license on them. Upon asking for registration and insurance information, Riel stated it was a relative’s car and he wasn’t sure where it was. Deputy Gerber observed a knife between the front seat and console and asked both occupants to step from the vehicle. A pat down was conducted on the male, removing a pocket knife. A clear plastic baggie was located on Riel, containing 3.83 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, and another baggie with 3.95 grams of suspected methamphetamine. The search continued to the vehicle, locating a plastic baggie with paraphernalia. Also located was 5.02 grams of suspected methamphetamine. David K. Riel, age 56, 1214 Pike Street, Parkersburg, WV, and Lori A. Schultz, age 46, 136 Pinewood Lane, Parkersburg, WV, were placed under arrest and charged with possession of drugs.
9 May 2026 Deputy Welch was dispatched to Farson Street, Belpre, in reference to a threatening message. The message was believed to be from Natasha Sandlin. A TPO was in place and Natasha Sandlin, age 35, 45 Fair Avenue, Beverly, OH, was charged with 2 counts of TPO violation.
10 May 2026 Deputy Davis responded to Ridgewood Boulevard, Belpre, regarding an assault by Marcus Wilson. Wilson and the victim were in a verbal argument the previous night. The victim attempted to gather up items, and when unable to locate them asked Wilson where they were. The two began to argue again and Wilson was in the victim’s face yelling. The victim began packing Wilson’s things, according to Wilson, and got in his face. Wilson stated that the victim shoved him as well. After completing the investigation Marcus A. Wilson, age 36, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.
11 May 2026 Sgt. Ullom and Deputy Davis performed a traffic stop on a blue in color Chevrolet sedan bearing Ohio registration for a following too close infraction and failing to obey a traffic control device. Sgt. Ullom met with the driver Lee Charlton, and passenger. Charlton exited the vehicle and provided consent to search the vehicle. Located on the driver’s side was a purse containing paraphernalia. Also located in the vehicle were other items of paraphernalia. Deputy Wallace performed a pat down search of Charlton and felt a round object protruding from her groin area which Charlton initially stated was her pad, however the item was recognized as the round end of a meth bubble. Charlton then stated it was her wallet. Charlton was placed in the rear of a marked Sheriff’s cruiser so the items could be retrieved. Produced was a meth bubble containing residue and a small pouch with fentanyl. Lee Anna Charlton, age 43, 1588 Federal Road, Little Hocking, OH, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail charged with possession of a controlled substance.
12 May 2026 at approximately 0919 hours Deputy Tucker was dispatched to a private parking lot on Second Street, Marietta, OH. Information received was that Michael J. Farmer was parked there and there was currently an active warrant for his arrest. Deputy Tucker met with Farmer and identified him. Farmer was advised of the active warrant and asked to turn off the vehicle. Farmer was asked if there was anything inside the vehicle that should not be and Farmer obtained a clear baggie with a crystal like substance and gave it to Deputy Tucker. Farmer advised officers that he believed the substance was meth. Farmer, 11515 Winter Drive SW, Amanda, OH, was arrested on his active warrant and will also be charged with possession of drugs.
12 May 2026 at approximately 2023 hours Deputy Huck was dispatched to State Route 7, Newport Township, in reference to a subject reporting his wallet was stolen by Baxter Grimes, after giving him a ride. Grimes arrived at the residence asking to call for a ride. The homeowner transported Grimes to Park Avenue and upon returning home noticed his wallet missing. It was reported that Grimes had looked in the direction of where the wallet was a couple of times during the ride. Also when Grimes got to the location he quickly exited the vehicle and was walking away in a quick manner. A summons is being requested for Baxter L. Grimes, New Matamoras, OH, on a charge of 5th degree felony theft.

Aleisha Mae Barber, age 35, Belpre, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Chace Daniel Wittekind, age 31, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor, and parole violation, a felony.
Jared Steven Huffman, age 50, Fleming, OH, failure to comply with order or signal of PO, a felony, and unlawful restraint, a misdemeanor.
Darris Paul Wriston, age 43, Cottageville, WV, fugitive from justice.
Chelsie Marie Cochran, age 33, Marietta, OH, 2 counts possession of fentanyl related compound and trafficking in drugs/fentanyl, all felonies.
Bryan Allen Hackney, age 24, Parkersburg, WV, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
