5 May 2026 Deputy Aultman began an investigation into a littering/trash complaint in Liberty Township.
6 May 2026 Deputy Davis responded to Barlow Township in reference to Brittany Bradshaw going into a residence, uninvited. It was reported that Bradshaw walked to the residence while the homeowner was outside and entered the residence. Bradshaw does not live at this location. After completing the investigation it was determined that a warrant would be requested for Brittany Colleen Bradshaw, age 37, 615 McKenna Drive, Williamstown, WV, for burglary.
7 May 2026 at approximately 0601 hours Deputies responded to Grandview Township to a report of Amy Shepherd striking a vehicle several times. Shepherd was operating a maroon vehicle and drove next to the victim’s vehicle. Shepherd drove into the victim’s vehicle, drove up the road, returned, and struck the vehicle again. Shepherd then backed up and struck the vehicle a third time, then drove off. Attempts to contact Shepherd met with negative results. A summons is being requested for Amy Lachelle Shepherd, age 29, 1308 Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras OH, on a charge of criminal damaging and endangering children, due to children being present in the vehicle.
7 May 2026 Deputy Groves was dispatched to Masonic Park Road for a report of dogs killing chickens. Once on scene Deputy Groves spoke with the victim who advised two dogs from the neighbor’s residence attacked and killed three chickens in her yard. Photographic evidence was obtained. The dogs were reported to have come from 104 Bohl Drive, Marietta, OH. At that location Deputy Groves met with Michael Hinton who stated the dogs were his, and that they had dug out of the fence and killed the chickens. Hinton will be summoned into court on a charge of failing to properly confine and/or restrain dogs.
7 May 2026 at approximately 2104 hours Deputy Huck was dispatched to 6675 State Route 821, the Wrangler Tavern, in reference to a 911 hang-up. On call back a male, later identified as James Farley, stated he had been in a confrontation with two other male subjects and he had pulled a knife. Employees stated that Farley had been creating issues with other patrons. Deputies spoke with all subjects involved. After concluding the investigation it was determined that James W. Brown, 8860 SR 821, Lower Salem, OH, Tracy Joe Milligan, 610 Collins Road, Whipple, OH, Dan E. Brown, 1620 Sandhill Road, Marietta, OH, and James Paul Farley, 135 Brandy Drive, Marietta, OH, would all be issued a summons for disorderly conduct by fighting.
7 May 2026 Deputy Huck was investigating an incident at the Wrangler Tavern. Kent Dwain Forshey was observed operating a 2016 GMC truck. Forshey pulled into the parking lot and walked into the bar. Forshey was unsteady on his feet and appeared to be intoxicated. Sgt. Parks approached Forshey and advised him to stay seated in the bar and that officers would speak with him after they were finished with investigation, on an unrelated incident. Forshey then walked out of the bar and got into the truck. Deputy Huck attempted to stop him however he was already travelling southbound on State Route 821. Forshey was observed driving over the fog line multiple times. Deputy Huck initiated the patrol vehicle lights and Forshey eventually pulled over. Deputy Huck identified Forshey as the driver and only occupant of the vehicle. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from the vehicle and Forshey’s eyes were glassy and he spoke with a slurred speech. Upon Forshey attempting the field sobriety testing that he agreed to, he performed poorly on them. Prior to his vehicle being towed an inventory of the vehicle was conducted which revealed an open container of Miller Lite in the center console. A cooler with several beer cans was also located in the bed of the truck. Forshey, 815 Bender Road, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, open container and marked lanes. Forshey was offered a BAC exam at the Ohio State Highway Patrol offices, however he refused.
