8 Dec 2025 Deputy Pugh began an investigation into a misuse of credit card incident.

8 Dec 2025 at approximately 2229 hours Deputy Talarico was dispatched to 320 Fifth Street, Adams Township, to a report by Larry Goodwin reporting Patrick Caldwell came to his house and punched him in the face.  Caldwell advised Deputy Talarico that approximately three days ago he and Goodwin were in an argument and he punched Goodwin in the face.  Days prior to that incident Goodwin had thrown a wood stand at Caldwell, striking him.  Patrick Caldwell, age 29, 320 Fifth Street, Lowell, OH, and Larry Goodwin, age 30, 320 Fifth Street, Lowell, will both be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court on charges of disorderly conduct. 

9 Dec 2025 Deputy Tucker completed a private property accident report where a vehicle struck the Dollar General Store in Watertown Township.

9 Dec 2025 Deputy Norris filed charges of violating a protection order on

Joshua David Fortney, age 51.  Deputy Norris was advised that a protected party had been in communication with Fortney.  Deputy Norris typed charges for violating a protection order on Fortney.   

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail 10 Dec 2025:

Lisa Marie Joy, age 50, Parkersburg, WV, possession of drugs, a felony, and restrictions on depositing litter, a misdemeanor.

Joven Quinn Keeley Harris McLoughlin, age 27, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor

Robert Jonathan Huffman, age 44, Marietta, OH, criminal trespass and contempt of court, both misdemeanors.

William Joseph Mitchell, age 41, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs, a felony.

Andrew James Strock, Sr., age 45, Vienna, WV, 2 counts operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, both felonies, failure to control, no seatbelt and failure to reinstate o/l, all misdemeanors.

There are currently 21 women and 96 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
