7 Nov 2025 Deputy Tullius began an investigation into a domestic violence incident. After completing the investigation charges were recommended on the juvenile.
7 Nov 2025 Jail personnel learned of a warrant on current inmate Amber Dawn Durnell, age 39, Coolville, OH. The warrant is out of Wood County, WV, for failure to appear on 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance, shoplifting and fleeing from a law enforcement officer. Durnell was charged by Lt. Windland with fugitive from justice.
8 Nov 2025 Deputy Gerber conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Jesse Backus, Parkersburg, WV. A citation was issued to Backus for driving in marked lanes.
1 Nov 2025 Deputy Gerber was patrolling near the 100 block of Pike Street, Pioneer Township, when he observed a vehicle with no visible registration. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was asked for his driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance. The operator advised he has all three, but cannot find them. The driver was identified as Walter McBride. McBride was asked numerous times if there was anything illegal on his person or in the vehicle, i.e. drugs, narcotics of any type, firearms or weapons of any type. McBride advised there were no drugs or narcotics, nor any firearms or weapons. A request for consent to search the vehicle was made. McBride agreed and gave consent. While searching the vehicle a small container with white residue inside was located. Also located was a straw with white residue, a silver and black in color Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver with 5 loaded bullets, one in the chamber. McBride was detained and a search of his person was conducted, finding 1.27 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Found inside the vehicle was a glass smoking pipe, a 410 gauge shotgun, with one in the chamber, 4 loaded shotgun shells in the butt of the gun, a Freedom Arms .22 caliber revolver with 2 loaded bullets, and 1 in the chamber, along with several different caliber loaded bullets. Another area of the vehicle revealed a second glass smoking pipe, a syringe and a straw, along with a butane torch. Walter R McBride, age 66, Marietta, OH, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail charged with having weapons while under disability, possession of drugs, and possession of drug abuse instruments.

Griffen Issac Eastwood, age 30, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a felony.
Anthony Patrick Kramer, age 39, Barberton, OH, possession of drugs 2 counts, and trafficking in drugs, 2 counts, both felonies.
Alisha Marie Wright, age 43, Medina, OH, illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse into a detention mental health facility, possession of drugs, 2 counts, and trafficking in drugs, 2 counts, all felonies.
There are currently 22 women and 94 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
