The mission of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Mounted Unit is to promote positive community relations while preserving and honoring the proud history and tradition of mounted law enforcement. Comprised entirely of dedicated volunteers who provide and care for their own horses, the Mounted Unit proudly represents the Sheriff’s Office at community events, parades, public gatherings, and educational programs throughout Washington County.
