9 Mar 2026 Lt. Hornbeck recovered drug and drug paraphernalia that had been found in a parking lot. The contraband will be tagged for destruction.
10 Mar 2026 at approximately 1209 hours Sgt. Huffer and Deputy Huck responded to the Washington County Courthouse, Marietta, OH, to meet with Probation Officer Holbrooks. PO Holbrooks requested officers charge Mitchell Allen Parsons with possession of a controlled substance. According to PO Holbrooks, Parsons came in for a monthly check in. A urine test was conducted in which Parsons tested positive for methamphetamine. The Probation Department conducted a search of the vehicle registered to Parsons, that he arrived in. While searching the passenger seat area, Officers located a folded one-dollar bill. After unfolding the bill, two pieces of a white crystalline like substance was located, along with residue from the substance. Parsons was read his Miranda Rights and advised of the substance located in his truck. When asked by Probation Officers if the substance was methamphetamine, he stated it was “probably” methamphetamine. The clear crystalline like substance weighed approximately 1.39 grams and will be sent to the lab for further testing. Mitchell Allen Parsons, 1060 Ridgewood Blvd, Belpre, OH, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and probation violation.
