17 Feb 2026 Deputy Thornberry began an investigation into trailer(s) being stolen from Liberty Township.
17 Feb 2026 Deputy Thornberry was on patrol in the area of Browns Road and Cornerville Road. Chad Burdette was observed driving a 2013 GMW bearing OH registration. A traffic stop was initiated and Burdette was found to have slurred speech as well as a hard time standing, maintaining his balance. Burdette submitted to field testing and performed poorly. Chad Anthony Burdette, age 43, 470 Hartline Road, Whipple, OH, was placed under arrest for suspicion of OVI and transported for further testing. Burdette refused all forms of testing after arriving at the Ohio State Highway Patrol offices. A search warrant was obtained and Burdette was transported to a medical facility to obtain the blood draw. Burdette was later transported to the Washington County Jail.
17 Feb 2026 Deputy Pugh was dispatched to Muskingum Township regarding a protection order violation by Olivia Renee Holiday. Holiday had violated the order by changing the WIFI password. Holiday had been to the residence to obtain belongings and after she left the residence the electronics connected to the WIFI were no longer working. Information was later found that the password had been changed back. Contact was made with Holiday, who stated she was not sure this password change was a violation of the order. A summons is being requested for Holiday, on a charge of violation of a protection order.

Restriction on depositing litter on public property, public indecency, reckless operation, hit skip leaving the scene (2 counts), menacing, failure to control, OVI alcohol, drug of abuse or both, and failure to control (3 counts), all misdemeanors.
Terry Lee Fisher, age 42, Logan, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Justin Alexzander Simpson, age 37, breaking and entering, a felony.
Scott Lee Carpenter, age 63, Marietta, OH, assault, a misdemeanor.
Tina Marie Carpenter, age 55, Marietta, OH, assault of peace officer, a felony, resisting arrest, OVI alcohol, drug of abuse or both (2 counts), and failure to yield at stop or yield sign, all misdemeanors.
Adam Lee Addlespurger, age 54, Macksburg, OH, menacing, 3 counts, all misdemeanors.
Christopher Jay Richards, age 26, Parkersburg, WV, kidnaping, strangulation and aggravated possession of drugs, all felonies, breach of recognizance, assault (3 counts), and obstructing official business, all misdemeanors.
