21 Jan 2026 Deputy Bush began an investigation into a scam involving the purchasing of a gift card.
22 Jan 2026 Deputy Welch began two different investigations in Belpre Township regarding attempted breaking and entering’s. These investigations are continuing.
22 Jan 2026 Deputy Bush began an investigation in Warren Township regarding phone harassment.
23 Jan 2026 Deputy Pugh was dispatched to Bethel Road, Warren Township, in reference to a report of James Braswell shoving the complainant. Prior to arrival, Braswell had fled in a white truck. Braswell and the victim began arguing when he arrived home. Braswell left the residence and returned, continuing the argument. The victim called 911 and tried to separate from Braswell by going to another room. While on the phone with 911, Braswell kicked in the door to the room, where the victim then left the home and got into a vehicle. Braswell then left the residence. During the argument Braswell made threats of harm, then rummaged through drawers, believed to be in search of a weapon. A warrant was requested for the arrest of James Nathanael Braswell, age 50, 805 Bethel Road, Marietta, OH. The warrant was issued through Marietta Municipal Court and on 28 Jan Braswell was taken into custody on that warrant. Braswell was charged with obstructing official business and domestic violence.
23 Jan 2026 Deputy Pugh began investigation after coming upon a disabled/abandoned vehicle near Drag Strip Road, Belpre, OH. This vehicle was towed and contact with the owner(s) has been made.
24 Jan 2026 Sgt. Parks began an investigation in Waterford Township regarding suspicious vehicle(s) in and around the storage facilities.

Bradly Steven Loyland, age 38, Assault, a misdemeanor.
Megan Nicole Trefz, age 35, Williamstown, WV, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Thomas Edward Metcalf, age 40, having weapons while under disability, under indictment, convicted felony, 2 counts protection order, all felonies.
James Nathanael Braswell, age 50, Marietta, OH, domestic violence and obstructing official business, both misdemeanors.
