4 Nov 2025 Deputy Gerber began an investigation into a catalytic converter removed from a vehicle in Muskingum Township.

4 Nov 2025 Deputy Gerber began an investigation in Salem Township where items of value were removed from the property.  This case remains under investigation.

4 Nov 2025 at approximately 1218 hours Deputy Gerber was patrolling State Route 60 near the intersection of Masonic Park Road in Muskingum Township when he observed a white in color Chevrolet Suburban, bearing Ohio registration cross over the white fog line, violating the marked lanes law.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Corbin Willett, was found to be driving without a valid driver’s license.  A citation was issued to Willett, 1316 Colonial Drive, Marietta, OH, operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

5 Nov 2025  Deputy Norris was dispatched to 259 Butler Street, Pioneer Township, in reference a violation of a protection order.  Deputy Norris was advised that Michael P. Steinbeck, has been violating a TPO that is currently in place stemming from a criminal charge.  Steineck has been utilizing Facebook messenger, commenting on the protected party’s posts, and also calling and texting the protected person via cell phone. A warrant is being requested for Steineck, 2280 McDonald Road, Vincent, OH, for violating a protection order.

5 Nov 2025 Deputy Gainer responded to Hickory Grove Country Store to a report of a subject stealing lottery tickets.

5 Nov 2025 at approximately 1431 hours Deputy Gerber was patrolling Federal Road near the intersection of McCommas Drive in Belpre Township, when he observed a red in color Chevrolet Cobalt, bearing Ohio registration.  The registration came back to a white Cadillac.  A traffic stop was conduct4ed with Larry D. Lowry, who admitted to the fictitious plates.  A citation was issued to Lowry, 2620 Federal Road, Coolville, OH, for driving with a fictitious license plate.

5 Nov 2025 Deputies along with the Reno Squad personnel responded to the scene of a deceased individual.

5 Nov 2025 Deputy Davis was patrolling SR 7 near SR 339 when he performed a registration check on a dark blue Chevrolet SUV bearing Ohio registration.  Daniel E. Lorah, the registered owner, was driving on a suspended driver’s license. After confirming the physical descriptors of  Lorah matched with whom I observed as the operator.  A traffic stop was performed and Lorah, 26021 Rock Street, Coolville, OH, was cited for driving under suspension.

John Douglas Pugh, age 45, Marietta, OH, disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

Dustin Bradley Harlow, age 32, Belpre, OH, probation violation, a felony.

Michael Perry Steinbeck, age 34, Vincent, OH, domestic violence, breach of recognizance, both misdemeanors, and contempt of court, a felony.

Erick Eduardo NMN Vilchis Barron, age 29, Marietta, OH, theft, a misdemeanor.

Rickie Ronald Sergent, III, age 19, Marietta, OH, OVI alcohol drug of abuse or both, reckless operations and prohibitions, alcohol under the age of 21 and street racing, all misdemeanors.

John Preston Marshall, age 55, Wharton, WV, speed and no seatbelt, both misdemeanors.

Walter Richard McBride, age 66, Marietta, OH, having weapons while under disability, drug related conviction and possession of drugs, both felonies, and possession of drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 23 women and 94 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
