​14 Oct 2025 deputies along with personnel from the Beverly Waterford squad responded to the scene of a deceased individual. 

15 Oct 2025 at approximately 0140 hrs. Deputy Tucker observed a red sedan, bearing MI registration, commit a traffic violation on I77.  A traffic stop was conducted in Aurelius Township on the vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle, identified as Dequante D. Ford, was accompanied by two other passengers.  A heavy odor of marijuana was present while speaking with the occupants of the vehicle.  The occupants were asked how much marijuana they were in possession of.  Deputy Tucker was shown a couple of baggies of marijuana.  A consent to search was requested, which was denied.  The occupants stated the marijuana was the only drug in the vehicle.  Deputy Tucker advised the occupants that K9 Ozna was going to be deployed to conduct a free air sniff.  All occupants again stated there were no other drugs.  K9 Ozna was deployed and provided a positive indication to the odor of illegal narcotics in the vehicle.  The driver, Ford, was asked to st​ep out first, as a probable cause search was going to be conducted. While patting down Ford, an abnormal bulge was felt on his wallet. The wallet was opened and a white envelope containing a white powder consistent with fentanyl was located. Ford claimed ownership stating it was for his personal use. No other illegal drugs were located in the vehicle.  The total package weight of the suspected fentanyl was 9.03 grams.  Dequante D. Ford, 10218 Harvard Road, Detroit, MI, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the second degree.

15 Oct 2025 deputies along with ​members of the Beverly Voluntary Squad and Lowell Adams Squad were dispatched to the scene of a deceased individual. 

16 Oct 2025 Deputy Pugh was dispatched to Forshey Road, Marietta, OH, to a reported domestic incident that had occurred with Laurelye Bowman on October 15th, 2025.  Bowman was in a verbal argument with the caller when the caller tried to voice record Bowman.  Bowman then became increasingly angry and jumped on top of the caller in an attempt to retrieve the phone, in which a struggle ensued, with Bowman placing her arm around his throat applying pressure.  An attempt to body slam the victim was made.  Visible bruising was observed to the neck and chest area. Bowman provided an inconsistent story where she initially reports putting her arm around his throat, then stating she did not.  Laurelye Izabella Cassandra Bowman, age 23, 1720 Shay Ridge Road, New Matamoras, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail charged with strangulation and domestic violence.

14 Oct 2025 Deputy Gerber responded to Muskingum River Road, Waterford Township, in regards to Keith Heiss calling dispatch several times throughout the day, requesting a deputy respond to his residence.  Deputy Gerber met with an individual who was trying to reach Heiss to calm him down.  When they approached Heiss’ home he opened the door and spit in their face.  Heiss then yelled belligerent names at the individual and slammed the door.​  Heiss was talking abnormally fast, and not making sense in his statements. Keith F. Heiss, 14640 Muskingum River Road, Lowell, OH, was arrested and transported to Washington County Jail on a charge of domestic violence.

17 Oct 2025 deputies along with the Wesley Township Squad responded to the home of a deceased individual.

19 Oct 2025 Lt. Staats began an investigation into a burglary in Dunham Township.  This case remains under investigation.

18 Oct 2025 Deputy Davis and Deputy Talarico were dispatched to Pleasant Ridge Road, Fearing Township, in reference to a welfare check on an individual.  Deputies met with Charles Cisler who advised the individual had left the residence.  It was apparent that Cisler had been drinking due to his slow response time, staggering, slurred speech, and swaying when standing still.  Cisler stated the subject of our welfare check left going towards Marietta.  He also stated he had the subject’s phone due to suspi​cions he had.  The deputies left the residence and patrolled the area for the individual.  Contact was made with family members, and eventually a call was received from the subject they were checking on.  Deputies responded to the location to meet with the subject.  Deputies were advised that Cisler had taken their phone the night before and locked it up.  Cisler was irate with the subject and yelled at her all night.  It was stated that Cisler struck her on top of her head with a firm pillow approximately twelve times, along with hitting her in the arm with the back of his hand.  Charles L. Cisler, age 66, 265 Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence and disrupting public services.

Derrick Lamar Billups, Jr., age 36, Pickerington, OH, trafficking in a fentanyl related compound, trafficking in cocaine, aggravated trafficking in drugs, possession of a fentanyl related compound, aggravated possession of drugs and possession of cocaine, all felonies.

Joshua Williams, age 36, Cleveland, OH, driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.

Jason Israel Moncman, age 50, Cambridge, OH, speed, a misdemeanor.

Mary Alice Brooks, age 45, Newport, OH, probation violation, a felony.

Corey Nathaniel McClung, age 24, Reno, OH, illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material or performance and tampering with evidence, both felonies.

Frank Jamel Meely, age 34, NW Canton, OH, driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.

Pauline Renee McCoy, age 41, Watertown, OH, intimidation-victim witness by force, threat, and felonious assault, both felonies.

Katelynn Dorothy Leib, age 30, North Canton, OH, burglary and theft, both felonies.

Lindsey Marie Castin, age 41 , Belpre, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Tyler James Wittenbrook, age 24, Marietta, OH, OVI alcohol drug of abuse or both, and flashing red light violation, both misdemeanors.

Matthew Sanford Nixon, Jr., age 43, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs, a felony.

Martin Deane Gibbs, Jr., age 38, Marietta, OH, no seatbelt/passenger, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 22 women and 99 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
