13 Aug 2025 Det. Ullom arrested Samantha J Somers, 165 Starlite Drive, Marietta, OH, on a charge of obstructing justice during an investigation in Belpre Township.
13 Aug 2025 at approximately 2228 hrs. deputies responded to the rear of 411 Fifth Street, Waterford Township, to a report of multiple subjects entering into the building. Deputies arrived and multiple individuals fled from the area. The building was cleared and a male subject in all black clothes with a white hat was seen walking down the sidewalk near Ullman Street. The male was identified as Mars Harpold, who stated he just came from an address on Ullman Street, where he and a group of his friends were hanging out. Harpold eventually stated he entered the building with a group of juveniles to explore. Harpold also stated he has been in the same building before and unlocked the door. Mars Harpold, age 20, 419 Main Street, Waterford, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with criminal trespassing.
14 Aug 2025 Deputy Norris responded to East Lawn Cemetery to begin an investigation into a plaque being stolen from a mausoleum. This case remains under investigation.
14 Aug 2025 Washington County Jail Inmate Jessica Dawn Drake, age 37, 2800 Beach Drive, Belpre, OH, was found to have an active warrant out of Wood County, WV, for probation violation. A charge of fugitive from justice was filed on Drake in Marietta Municipal Court.
15 Aug 2025 Deputy Pugh began an investigation in Marietta Township where a resident had various scrap items stolen from his yard. This case remain under investigation.
15 Aug 2025 Deputy Welch was dispatched to State Route 339, Dunham Township, Washington County, Ohio, in reference to a reported theft at the residence. Subjects advised that the items taken included a television, laptop, checkbook and purse (with contents). After this theft had occurred, it was advised that two $400 withdrawals were made at a business in Parkersburg, WV. After obtaining information from that business, and obtaining camera footage of the subjects, it was determined the subjects to be Suetaraha Patton and Savannah Martin. Suetaraha Patton and Savannah Martin, 131 Raynwood Vlg., Parkersburg, WV, are being charged with theft, a 4th degree felony.
16 Aug 2025 at 2110 hrs. Deputy Talarico was on patrol near the intersection of SR 7 and County Road 9, Marietta Township. After conducting a traffic stop a citation was issued to Melissa Jean Beagle, 1045 Sandhill Road, Marietta, OH, on a charge of driving under suspension.
16 Aug 2025 Deputy Talarico responded to a report of Tyler William Frederick having assaulted a subject. After conducting the investigation Frederick, age 31, Whipple, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.
17 Aug 2025 Deputy Wallace was advised by Sgt. Skidmore at the Washington County Jail that inmate Chad E. Morgenstern had conveyed illegal contraband into the facility. Morgenstern had been advised prior to entering the jail that if had any illegal contraband inside his person or on his person to let them know and he only responded “lawyer”. Suspected marijuana was located on his person. Inmate Morgenstern was advised of his Miranda Rights to which he advised the baggy contained marijuana. Chad Eric Morgenstern, age 47, 715 ½ Second Street, Marietta, OH, was charged with illegal conveyance.
18 Aug 2025 Deputy Talarico issued a citation to William Raymond Harris, 906 Warren Street, Marietta, OH, for driving under suspension.
18 Aug 2025 Deputy Bush responded to State Route 676, Wesley Township, to a report of Jayden Potter assaulting two individuals with a broomstick and a set of electric hedge trimmers. Potter stated he did engage in an altercation and threw a jar of peanut butter at one of the individuals, at which time one of them began hitting him with a stick. Deputy Davis met with the caller who stated she was in the kitchen and Potter came in the kitchen irate and threw a cardboard box at her. Potter then proceeded to grab a broomstick and started smacking her with it. The second individual attempted to call 911 when Potter attempted to prevent her from doing so by throwing his body into her. She eventually made it outside where Potter followed. The broomstick was removed from Potter and smacked him with it as Potter picked up electric hedge trimmers and threw them at her, striking her in the back. Medical attention was provided to all parties involved. Jayden Potter, age 18, 3685 State Route 676, Stockport, OH, will be summoned into court on a charge of domestic violence and assault.
19 Aug 2025 a charge of fugitive from justice was filed on Inmate Mason Bouie Sigman, 3162 Big Ottery Highway, Charleston, WV, by Deputy Mays at the Washington County Jail. A warrant for Sigman was received from Braxton County, WV, for robbery, conspiracy and breaking and entering.
19 Aug 2025 deputies responded to Barlow Township to a report of a domestic in progress involving Tyler P. Ebra. Ebra had been asked to leave a residence and became verbally and physically aggressive. Ebra began kicking and throwing objects at the caller as well as other physical harm. 25 Aug 2025 Tyler Patrick Ebra, age 34, 2697 Lake Road, Fleming, OH, was arrested and processed into the Washington County Jail on a charge of domestic violence.
20 Aug 2025 Deputy Welch began an investigation into a domestic violence incident in Warren Township. Brian Russell Morgan, age 41, Coffman Road, Marietta, OH, was reported to have pushed and hit the complainant over the course of multiple days. Morgan at one point pushed the victim causing her to stumble back, hitting her hand against a glass window, which caused the window to shatter and she received an abrasion on her right hand. Morgan had also taken the victim’s phone and car keys preventing her from leaving and calling. A charge of domestic violence was filed on Morgan for this incident.
