2 Jun 2025 Deputy Welch began an investigation in Warren Township where a FedEx driver was bitten by a dog. 

2 Jun 2025 at approximately 2354 hrs. Deputy Pugh conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Ford Taurus bearing Ohio registration on Pike Street, Pioneer Township, for a turn signal and marked lanes violation. Deputy Wallace deployed her K9 Mauser and a positive indication was given on the vehicle. While searching the vehicle located a magnetic box. Within the box were 2 glass smoking pipes with residue and 2 small plastic baggies which appeared to contain methamphetamine.  The baggies weighed 1.29 grams total package weight. Kelly Renee Henthorn was advised of her Miranda Rights and advised the drugs found were not hers.  Kelly Renee Henthorn, age 63, Marietta, OH, was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with possession of drugs.

3 Jun 2025 Deputy Pugh was dispatched to 430 Spears Hill Road, Palmer Township, to a report of domestic violence.  Samantha Gay reported a domestic violence incident​ with Dalton Burt.  Samantha reported that Burt was throwing items at her and not letting her leave. Samantha reported she and Burt were engaged in a verbal argument when he threw a vape at the back of her neck.  A mark was observed to the back of her neck consistent with the events of the evening.  Burt stated that he threw a vape past Samantha but not at her.  Burt did put his hands on Samantha to stop her from leaving, but did not shove her.  Burt stated she then struck him in the eye, which did appear to be red, watering and swollen.  Samantha denied any physical contact by her towards Burt, and when asked about his eye, stated she did not know, that he was fine prior to our arrival.  Dalton Lee Burt, age 32, and Samantha Michelle Gay, age 33, were both placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail charged with domestic violence.             

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail 6 June 2025 to 8 June 2025: 

Robert Vaughn Evans, age 57, Clarksburg, WV, breaking and entering, grand theft, possession of criminal tools, 3 counts receiving stolen property, and parole violation, all felonies, and criminal damaging, a misdemeanor.

George Donovan Langforde Cherry, age 30, Akron, OH, probation violation and having weapons while under disability, both felonies.

Zachery Ray Burdette, age 29, Vienna, WV, possession of drugs, a felony.

Corey Allen Lighty, age 33, Columbus, OH, probation violation, a felony.

Mathew Collin Murray, age 25, Elizabeth, WV, failure to comply with order or signal of peace officer, a felony.

Donald Floyd Martin, age 52, Cambridge, OH, OVI alcohol, drug of abuse or both, no operator’s license and failure to control, all misdemeanors.

Donald Ray Forrester, age 67, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, a felony.

Enigma Laith Moore Jindra, age 22, Waterford, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor, and strangulation, a felony.

Josie Elizabeth Boyd, age 24, Waterford, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor, and strangulation, a felony. 

Corey David Poynter, age 45, Marietta, OH, violate protection order, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 21 women and 106 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
