12 Jul 2026 Deputy Tucker conducted a traffic stop on I77 at approximately the six mile marker, for a driving violation. After conducting a search of the vehicle, once K9 Ozna gave a positive indication, a crystal like substance was located, later confirmed to belong to the driver. Charges are pending in this investigation.
15 Jul 2026 Deputy Thornberry responded to Barlow Township to conduct an investigation regarding a 4’x8’ utility trailer theft.
15 Jul 2026 deputies along with the Grandview Vol. Fire Department and New Matamoras Squad personnel responded to the scene of a decease individual.
16 Jul 2026 at approximately 1742 hours Deputy McElroy was dispatched to Park Avenue, Grandview Township, to a domestic dispute. Contact as made with the caller who stated there was a physical altercation with Robert William Wesley Rice II, at the Leith Run Campground. An argument had ensued over her leaving and Rice approached the car yelling for her to get out. The caller stated she exited the vehicle and was immediately struck multiple times on the left side of her face with what she believed was Rice’s closed right fist. Red marks on the right side of her chest/neck area were observed. Deputy McElroy met with Rice and he admitted to assaulting the caller and a juvenile. Rice, 316 Main Street, New Matamoras, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.
16 Jul 2026 at approximately 2210 hours Deputy Huck was dispatched to Main Street, Grandview Township, to a report of Sarah Nedley and Paul Hendershot arguing and chasing each other around the neighborhood. Nedley and Hendershot let the scene prior to law enforcement arriving. Nedley and Hendershot were screaming at each other on the sidewalk. Nedley confirmed the two were in an argument. Witnesses also advised they heard the two yelling at each other. Paul Willard Hendershot, age 34, New Matamoras, OH, and Sarah Nicole Nedley, age 38, New Matamoras, OH, will be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court on charges of disorderly conduct.
17 Jul 2026 deputies along with Little Muskingum VFD personnel responded to the scene of a deceased individual.

Michael James Hudson, age 48, Parkersburg, WV, grand theft, a misdemeanor, breach of recognizance, theft of a motor vehicle and grand theft, all felonies.
Dallas Christopher Ousley, age 41, tampering with evidence and possession of drugs, both felonies.
Tabitha Lois Church, age 27, Cutler, OH, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, probation violation, a felony.
James Fredrick Obrien, II, age 48, Marietta, OH, no seatbelt, a misdemeanor.
