Extreme Cold Warnings

From the National Weather Service, Charleston, WV: “Cold weather headlines are in effect for portions of the area today, and tonight into Thursday morning. Sub-freezing temperatures and periods of very cold wind chills will continue through the weekend.

Light snow accumulations may be possible with a passing disturbance later today into tonight.

Continuing to monitor a developing coastal system that could provide an opportunity for some snow in eastern portions of the area Friday into the weekend; however, the bulk of precipitation from this system is currently projected to remain well to the southeast”
