25 Apr 2026 deputies along with​ Barlow Vo. Fire Dept. personnel responded to the scene of a deceased individual in Barlow Township.

26 Apr 2026 Deputy Bush responded to Marietta Township to a report of someone brandishing a gun.  There was no gun located during the investigation.

28 Apr 2026 Deputy Huck responded to Adams Township to a report of a missing/runaway child.  The child was soon located. 

28 Apr 2026​ Washington County Jail inmate Joshua Paul Finch, age 35, 152 Quarters Road, Meadowbrook, WV, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and conveyance of drugs. 

29 Apr 2026 Deputy Huck was stationary in the 300 block of Pike Street​, Pioneer Township when a motorcycle bearing Ohio registration passed at a high rate of speed traveling westbound on Pike Street. The motorcycle was also operating with no tail lights.  A traffic stop was initiated and the operator was identified as Lucas Alan Heiss.  A citation was issued to Heiss, 193 Salem Ridge Road, Waterford, OH, for driving under a judgement suspension.

29 Apr 2026 Deputy Mays began an investigation into a stolen license plate in Palmer Township.

30 Apr 2026 Deputies responded to Decatur Township to complete a welfare check.  The individual was found to be deceased.

1 May 2026 information was received that a subject had posted a video of alcohol consumption.  Through the investigation the subject was met with and was consuming alcoholic beverages​ at the time.  A summons is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for Rachel Elizabeth Horton, age 18, Newport, OH, for underage consumption​ of alcohol.

2 May 2026 Deputies Gainer and Tucker were dispatched to State Route 555, Wesley Township, in reference to an assault at the hands of Malachi Isaiah Mayer.  A verbal argument ensued ​between the two.  Mayer told the victim not to touch his belongings.  Mayer then knocked the victim to the ground and began striking them repeatedly.  The victim did punch Mayer in the face in self-defense, however this did not stop him.  Mayer, 1113 Lawn Avenue Southwest, Canton, OH, was charged with assault. 

2 May 2026 at approximately 2212 hours Deputy Davis was dispatched to the Parmar, 8600 State Route 339, Barlow Township, regarding Shiloh Wade Peaytt assaulting the victim.  An argument began with the two and Peaytt told the victim to get out of the vehicle.  While walking, Peaytt turned and threw​, what the victim believed was a rock​, at her, striking her in the chest area.  Peaytt stated he threw a vape device at the victim.  Peaytt, age 37, 111 N. Hart Street, Apt. 7, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail 12 May 2026:

Bobbie Jane Walker, age 47, Belpre, OH, permitting drug abuse, possession of drugs, 2 counts, all felonies.

Carl Douglas Walker, age 51, Belpre, OH, permitting drug abuse, a felony.

Monica Ann Starcher, age 50, Parkersburg, WV, tampering with evidence, possession of drugs and possession of fentanyl related compound, all felonies.

Michael Josef Farmer, age 35, Amanda, OH, possession of drugs and probation violation, both felonies.

Jeremy Donald Brown, age 43, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Michael Allen Boersma, age 36, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Kimberly Irene Kathern Mutersbaugh, age 60, Steubenville, OH, theft from a disabled adult and obstructing official business, both felonies.
