21 Apr 2026 Deputy Bush was dispatched to Waterford Township to conduct a criminal damaging investigation.
22 Apr 2026 Deputy Pugh began an investigation into stolen logs from Newport Township.
23 Apr 2026 Deputy Davis responded to Hill Road, Cutler, OH, in reference to an assault reportedly completed by Joel Dotson. Dotson was involved in an argument with the victim at which time Dotson got in the victim’s face and was pushing her. The victim slapped Dotson and he then shoved her on the ground. While the victim was on the ground, Dotson put his hand in a steel toe boot and performed an uppercut striking her near the right eye with the boot. The victim reported several times that her eye was hurting. Deputies eventually were able to contact Dotson. Dotson was immediately detained and read his Miranda Rights. Dotson elected to speak with deputies but denied the victim being at his house this evening. Dotson claimed to know nothing about the incident. Dotson was placed in the patrol vehicle and gave consent for entry to his residence for the victim to obtain her property she had in the house. Joel Jerry Dotson, age 48, 697 Hill Road, Cutler, OH, was transported to the Washington County Jail charged with felonious assault.
23 Apr 2026 at approximately 2043 hrs. Deputy Huck was dispatched to Marietta Township in reference to an altercation with a juvenile. During the interaction with the juvenile, Lt. Stillson arrived on scene. While talking with the child, the child punched Lt. Stillson in the face. After completing the investigation it was determined that the juvenile would be transported to the Washington County Juvenile Center, charged with domestic violence and assault on a peace officer.
24 Apr 2026 Deputy Mays began an investigation into the misuse of a credit card.
25 Apr 2026 Deputy Wallace met with a subject who had reported domestic violence. It was reported that Tyler Snell would not give the subject her keys to her vehicle. Deputy Wallace conducted the investigation regarding Snell and made contact with him. Tyler Q. Snell, 480 Browns Lane, Newport, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence. Once at the Washington County Jail where he blew .177 on the pbt. at the jail.
27 Apr 2025 Deputy Huck began an investigation into a missing juvenile who was returned home.
28 Apr 2026 Deputy Tucker spoke with individuals regarding animals inside a residence. After completing the investigation Deputy Tucker filed a request for a summons to be issued to Velinda Rike, 213 Meigs Street, Marietta, OH, for cruelty to animals.
