8 Jan 2026 Deputy Bush began an investigation in Belpre Township regarding a road rage incident. 

8 Jan 2026 Deputy Aultman took into evidence for safekeeping, firearms in reference to a temporary protection order.

13 Jan 2026 Deputy Gerber was on patrol near Drag Strip Road, Belpre Township, when he encountered Benjamin M. Hupp, operating a motor vehicle with expired tags, along with a warrant for his arrest.  A traffic stop revealed the operator to be Hupp, 246 North Hills Drive, Parkersburg, WV,. The warrant was from Boone County, Indiana, for possession of cocaine.  Information on the warrant was verified with information obtained from Hupp, finding him to be the same individual.  Hupp was placed under arrest and charged with fugitive from justice.  

13 Jan 2026 Sgt. Skidmore, Washington County Jail, was advised that during the intake process of inmate Misty Dawn Clark, being charged with a probation violation, was found to be in possession of 2 bags suspected methamphetamine (crystalline like substance) in a rear pocket.   Clark advised the drugs were in fact methamphetamine. Clark, 49686 Keller Road, Tuppers Plains, OH, was charged with illegal conveyance drugs and possession of drugs.

13 Jan 2026 deputies along with the Barlow Vol. Fire Dept. responded to the scene of a deceased individual. 

14 Jan 2026 Deputy Talarico was attempting contact with a wanted subject, Gary Eugene  McIntire at 2007 Gandee Court, Belpre, OH.   Contact was made with McIntire and he was advised of the warrant.  McIntire invited Deputy Talarico in while he put shoes on and in plain view on the coffee table in the living room, was a green pill bottle with a white substance inside.  When questioned about the contents, McIntire advised the bottle contained methamphetamine.  McIntire, age 66, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail for possession of a controlled substance.
