25 Dec 2025 Deputy Welch conducted a welfare check on a resident in Barlow Township.

25 Dec 2025 Deputy Bush responded to a report of a domestic incident in Waterford Township.  It was reported that Ethan Ross, 211 ½ Maple Street, Marietta, OH, had gone to a family member​'s​ residence with the victim. The victim would not give Ross their cell phone, when asked, which angered ​Ross.  Ross began to pinch, grab and smack the victim in the face.  A warrant was requested for Ross on a charge of domestic violence.  The warrant was issued and deputies are attempting to arrest Ross on the warrant.

25 Dec 2025 at approximately 2017 hours Deputy Thornberry was dispatched to State Route 26, Marietta Township, to a report of domestic violence. It was reported that Matthew Cobb had been drinking heavily.  Cobb confronted the victim about their relationship, which the victim did not want ​to talk about at that time, which angered Cobb.  Cobb then became angry and began throwing items in the kitchen and punching the refrigerator.  Cobb went so far as grabbing the victim’s hands and advising them “we are handling this now.”  Matthew R. Cobb, age 45, 6055 SR 26, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.  Cobb was transported to the Washington County Jail.

26 Dec 2025 Deputy Norris began an investigation in Marietta Township.  At the conclusion of the investigation Eric Keith Kincaid, age, 49, 12815 Possum Hollow Road NW, Crooksville, OH, was taken to the Washington County Jail on a holder for parole violation by the State of Ohio Adult Parole Authority.

26 Dec 2025 Deputy Talarico conducted a private property accident report in Grandview Township. 

27 Dec 2025 Deputy Talarico began an investigation into damage/thefts at the old Lawrence School, Lawrence ​Township. 

29 Dec 2025 charges of being a fugitive from justice were filed on Adalberto E. Perez, due to an active warrant out of Pleasants County, West Virginia.  Perez, age 31, 160 Chainey Run Road, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail.

29 Dec 2025 Deputy Bush began an investigation into a stolen 2008 Saturn from Decatur Township.

29 Dec 2025 Deputy Thornberry was dispatched to Watertown Township to a report of subjects coming to a location and assaulting an individual.   The victim spoke with Deputy Thornberry stating they wanted no help, and was not going to be pressing charges. 

The following individual(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail between 6 Jan 2026:

Victor Emmanule Warren, age 57, Marietta, OH, rape, a felony.

There are currently 27 females and 93 males incarcerated at the Washington County Jail.
