16 Dec 2025 Sgt. Skidmore of the Washington County Jail began an investigation into a conveyance incident into the facility.
17 Dec 2025 an individual that frequents the Washington County Courthouse reported that a coat left on the third floor had been stolen. Courthouse Security deputies reviewed camera footage and identified two subjects in the area, eventually leaving with the coat in question. Investigation revealed the subjects were James N Croston and Courtney Hedges, 300 Buckeye Ridge, Chesterhill, OH. A charge of theft was filed on Croston and Hedges and warrants were issued for their arrest.

James Ryan Andrews, age 40, Little Hocking, OH, possession of drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, tampering with evidence, all felonies.
Michael Alan Thrasher, age 34, Beverly, OH, failure to provide notice of change of address, a felony.
Angelia Jo Jenkins, age 57, Mineral Wells, WV, theft, a felony.
Tasha Jo Jenkins, age 39, Parkersburg, WV, theft, a felony.
Brandy Nicole Wright, age 35, probation violation, 2 counts, both felonies.
Courtney Nicole Hedges, age 33, Malta, OH, complicity to theft, a felony.
Michael Lee Christian, age 27, Charleston, WV, aggravated menacing, both misdemeanors.

There are currently 25 women and 94 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
