12 Dec 2025 Deputy Pugh was dispatched to Cole Coffman Road, Warren Township, to a report of a Saturn Ion vehicle being stolen. It was reported that Taylor Padgitt had taken the vehicle without permission. Contact was made with Padgitt and she confirmed the vehicle was in her possession. Padgitt had been given the keys earlier to run some errands for the owner, and then returned with the vehicle, but no keys. The vehicle was later gone when the owner returned. A summons is being requested for Taylor Christine Padgitt, age 33, Marietta, OH, on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
14 Dec 2025 at the Washington County Jail, 101 Westview Avenue, Pioneer Township, officers were advised of a fight in one of the dorms. Officers responded and inmate Amanda Dawn Durnell was placed in mechanical wrist restraints. Officers escorted the victim out and conducted an assessment for injuries. The investigation revealed Durnell got up from her bed and walked over to the other inmate a began delivering closed fist strikes to the victim’s face. A charge of assault was filed on Durnell, age 39, Coolville, OH.
14 Dec 2025 Deputy Talarico, was dispatched to Aurelius Township, in reference to a juvenile beating on their parent. A verbal argument had been going on and the juvenile grabbed the victim by the throat. Charges of domestic violence were filed on the juvenile.
12 Dec 2025 Captain Hunter was made aware of a trespassing complaint involving Jason P. Staats, which took place on November 27, 2025 and December 02, 2025 at Braun Road, Belpre Township. The investigation revealed Staats had trespassed on the victim’s property. A summons is being requested for Staats, Braun Road, Belpre, OH, on a charge of trespassing.
16 Dec 2025 Deputy Gerber responded to Grandview Township, in regards to a report of a Kimble trash can being stolen. Through investigation it was discovered that Linda E. Slonaker, 1207 Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, OH, was the individual that took the trash can. The can was located near Slonaker’s home. A warrant is being requested for Slonaker on a charge of theft.
16 Dec 2025 Deputy Welch was dispatched to Lake Road, Fleming, OH, to a report of an altercation involving Krista Simon. A subject had gone to a residence to retrieve their things and Simon picked up a stick and struck the individual and their vehicle. A summons is being requested for Simon, age 27, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Jessica Renee Queen, age 31, Belpre, OH, aggravated possession of drugs, aggravated trafficking in drugs, possession of fentanyl, 2 counts, and trafficking in fentanyl, 2 counts, all felonies.
Zachary Alan Johnson, age 25, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Thomas Hilton Bailey, Jr., age 61, Belpre, OH, theft without consent, a misdemeanor, and probation violation, a felony.
There are currently 24 women and 92 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
