16 Nov 2025 Sgt. Parks conducted a welfare check on an individual and medical attention was provided.
17 Nov 2025 Deputy Welch assisted the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office with an unruly/runaway juvenile.
17 Nov 2025 deputies along with personnel from the Wesley Vol. Fire Dept. responded to the scene of a deceased male.
17 Nov 2025 Deputy Bush responded to Jennings Hill Road, Marietta, to a domestic incident involving a firearm. Information was relayed that Corbin Willet had pointed a firearm at an individual’s face and threatened to shoot her. The victim had been visiting with family members at the residence when Willet arrived and placed a pistol on the table from his right hip, while holding a child. Willet then became accusatory with her and the two began to argue, at which time the victim removed the child from Willet’s arms, which enraged Willet. Willet then grabbed the gun, turning the laser on and pointed it at her face, stating he would shoot her. Willet gave officers permission to search his residence, stating there was never a gun pointed at the victim. Willet also advised he doesn’t own a firearm. During the search Deputy Thornberry located a firearm in the saddlebag of a motorcycle. The pistol was a Taurus pistol with a laser on it. Willet stated when he was with them he placed the gun on the table to hold the baby and only grabbed it back when he wasn’t holding the child any longer. The search further revealed ammunition matching the ammunition located in the firearm. Corbin Ryan Willet, age 18, Marietta, OH, was placed in custody after the firearm was located. Willet was then read his rights and did wish to talk to us. Willet was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail for domestic violence by threat, tampering with evidence, and aggravated menacing.
18 Nov 2025 Deputy Davis began an investigation in Muskingum township of a missing juvenile. The juvenile was located and charges may be forthcoming.
20 Nov 2025 Deputy Groves filed for a summons to be issued for Shauency R. Yost, 37 Morris Loop Road, Marietta, OH, on a charge of failure to restrain dogs due to a 13 Nov 2025 incident.

Adah Jo Smitley, age 23, Beverly, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Alicia Dawn Rivera, age 41, Marietta, OH, aggravated possession of drugs, strangulation, domestic violence and contempt of court, all felonies, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Courtney Elizabeth Shepherd, age 37, Oak Hill, WV, possession of fentanyl and receiving stolen property, both felonies.
Marce Erin Phinessee, age 23, Akron, OH, possession of fentanyl, tampering with evidence, both felonies.
Griffen Issac Eastwood, age 30, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a felony.
There are currently 30 women and 111 men incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
