August 7th is National Purple Heart Recognition Day & August 10th is National Agent Orange Awareness Day. Beginning August 3 thru August 12, luminaries will be lit to honor and support the Veterans who have received a Purple Heart and (or) suffering from exposure to Agent Orange. The Belpre Area Veterans are looking for \"Luminary Sponsors\". You can Honor your loved one(s) or another Veteran with a donation of $5.00 per luminary. Each luminary will be tagged with the veteran\'s Name & Branch of Service. The luminaries will be placed around and along the Veterans Honor Walk and adjoining sidewalks in Howes Grove Park. The funds raised will go towards these and other veterans’ programs.
