On 30 Apr 14 Jim Turner, age 73, 230 Arends Ridge Road, Marietta, reported he gave his contractor a Lowe’s credit card to purchase items for repairs at his home and he has since learned that the contractor used the card to make unauthorized purchases totaling approximately $226. This case remains under investigation (132).

On 30 Apr 14 Jessica Stoke, age 20, 1075 Huck Road, Lowell, reported she recently received a notice from a collection agency demanding $658.10 payment for a credit card account opened in her name. Ms. Stoke said she has never opened an account with that particular credit card company and she did not give anyone permission to use her personal information to open an account. This case remains under investigation (610).

On 30 Apr 14 Earl Griffin II, age 37, 2460 Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, reported at some point during the past week and a half an unknown suspect(s) cut two catalytic converters off an inoperable Chevy pickup truck stored on his property. This case remains under investigation (132).

On 30 Apr 14 Sgt. Mankins issued a citation to Ben L. Smith, age 21, 7 Joyceville Trailer Park, Parkersburg, for traveling 75 mph in a 60 mph zone. Sgt. Mankins stopped Mr. Smith on State Route 7 near Joe Skinner Road in Dunham Township.

The following individual wAS processed into the Washington County Jail:

Amy Elizabeth Roser, age 37, 406 Harmar Street, Marietta, for nonsupport of dependents, a misdemeanor. Roser turned herself in to Corrections Officers and was processed into the Washington County Jail on 30 Apr 14 at 7:50 pm.
