On 28 Apr 14 an employee of the Duchess Shop,
100 Main Street, Lowell, reported a heavy set female walked
out of the store without paying for a case of Bud Light. This
case remains under investigation (509).
On 28 Apr 14 Lt. Stackpole and Sgt. Holbert,
along with the Barlow, Dunham and Wesley fire departments responded
to a fire at the home of Jeremy G. Snyder, age 35, at 3547 Tick
Ridge Road, Vincent. Mr. Snyder ran an extension cord from inside
his home to an outbuilding for an electric supply. When he later
exited the outbuilding he observed flames emanating from where
he plugged in the extension cord. While Mr. Snyder’s wife
and children escaped unharmed, the home was fully engulfed in
flames and a total loss.
On 28 Apr 14 Wendy S. Moore, age 33, 1002 Grandview
Avenue, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) broke
the front passenger side window of her vehicle and stole her
purse. Ms. Moore said she only had $10 in her purse. This case
remains under investigation (790).
On 28 Apr 14 a caller reported a male and a
female were involved in a loud argument outside 121 Pine Drive,
Little Hocking. The involved parties admitted being involved
in an argument over their recent move and agreed that no physical
violence occurred. Consequently, Deputy Sheriff Metts closed
this case as unfounded.
The following individuals
were processed into the Washington County Jail:
Tyler Lee Hartley, age 20, 107 Pickering Street,
Parkersburg, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Hartley turned
himself in to Lt. Rhodes at the Washington County Sheriff’s
Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Apr
14 at 8:24 am.
Maria Eleni Thodos, age 25, 363 Barefoot Hollow
Road, Middleport, for failure to appear and for two counts of
possession of drugs, all felonies. Thodos was turned herself
in to Deputy Sheriff Doak and was processed into the Washington
County Jail on 28 Apr 14 at 9:18 am.
Ashley Nicole Cline, age 25, 106 Wood Street,
Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor.
Cline was arrested at the office of Probation Officer Ferrell
and processed into the Washington County Jail on 28 Apr 14 at
