On 24 Apr 14 Frederick G. McKitrick, age 32, 29465 State Route 7, Marietta, reported he was away from his residence for an hour and a half that morning and during that timeframe an unknown suspect(s) entered his home and stole more than eighty Xanax pills. This case remains under investigation (132).

On 24 Apr 14 Pamela J. Schweitzer, age 55, 9305 State Route 821, Lower Salem, reported she recently discovered her credit card information was used to purchase a Dell computer for $261.51. The computer was shipped to a home in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. This case remains under investigation (132).

On 24 Apr 14 Deputy Sheriff Hunter issued a citation to James A. Berry, age 55, 2651 Best Road, Cambridge, for making a U-turn on the interstate. Deputy Hunter stopped Mr. Berry near milepost eight on Interstate 77 in Salem Township.

On 24 Apr 14 Deputy Sheriff Hunter issued a citation to Scott M. Gough, age 25, 4400 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, for driving under a suspended license and for traveling 87 mph in a 70 mph zone. Deputy Hunter stopped Mr. Gough near milepost eleven on Interstate 77 in Salem Township.

On 24 Apr 14 Deputy Sheriff McPeek arrested a fourteen year old Vincent resident on delinquency charges of rape and eight counts of gross sexual imposition. The teenager’s eight year old adoptive sister reported to her mother that day that her brother sexually abused on multiple occasions in the recent past. With the assistance of Children’s Services Social Worker, Ginger Davey, Deputy McPeek interviewed the victim. The victim stated her brother “humped” on her numerous times and forced her to perform oral sex on him once. Questioned about the incidents, the suspect was defiant and unremorseful. The suspect initially denied sexually assaulting his sister but later stated he molested her.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Ryan Edward Carpenter, age 18, 106 Plum Street, Marietta, for violating the terms of her probation, a misdemeanor. Carpenter was arrested on Glendale Road by Patrolman Cramer of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 14 at 2:26 pm.

Michael Adrian Doak, age 26, 403 Lord Street, Marietta, for burglary, a felony. Doak was arrested at his residence by Captain Hawkins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 24 Apr 14 at 3:35 pm.
