On 4 Apr 14 Deputy Sheriff White responded to the scene of death of a fifty-seven year old Lowell resident. Though the cause of the man’s death appears to be accidental, this case remains under investigation.

On 4 Apr 14 Chris Henderson, age 34, 210 Beardsley Road, Lowell, reported he was away from his residence for two hours that morning and during that timeframe an unknown suspect(s) entered his home and stole his wallet and bank card. Mr. Henderson recovered his wallet and bank card but was missing $165 and a personal check to his landlord. This case remains under investigation (132).

On 4 Apr 14 Nathan L. Steele, age 28, 505 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, reported he was involved in an altercation with his wife, Jacqueline, age 25. Mr. Steele said as soon as he returned home from work his wife initiated an argument over his spending habits. As Mr. Steele attempted to evade his wife, she continued to pursue and yell at him. Mrs. Steele repeatedly grabbed her husband to keep him from exiting a doorway and after doing so would bite her husband’s leg. Based on his investigation, Deputy Sheriff Metts arrested Mrs. Steele for domestic violence and transported her to the Washington County Jail.

On 4 Apr 14 Deputy Sheriff Metts requested a summons for a fifteen year old Belpre resident to appear in Juvenile Court on a charge of delinquency for underage possession of alcohol. The Warren High School student was found in possession of a bottle of beer that she claimed she grabbed from her home refrigerator thinking it was apple juice. The student also received a ten day suspension from school.

On 4 Apr 14 Deputy Sheriff Metts requested summonses for Regina L. Hoover, age 50, 337 Wells Road, Waterford, and Jeffrey D. Parker, age 48, 3730 State Route 26, for disorderly conduct by fighting. Both parties were consuming alcohol at Mr. Parker’s residence that evening when an argument erupted. While Ms. Hoover stated Mr. Parker punched her in the face for no reason, Mr. Parker exhibited injuries on his face that he attributed to Ms. Hoover.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Jacqueline Darlene Steele, age 25, 505 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Steele was arrested at her residence by Deputy Sheriff Metts and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Apr 14 at 11:19 am.

Anthony Ray Hart, age 33, 68 1/2 N. Seventh Street, McConnelsville, for two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear. Hart was arrested in Marietta by Patrolman Pinkerton of the Marietta City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Apr 14 at 4:08 pm.

Jeffrey Dean Parker, age 48, 3730 State Route 26, Marietta, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Parker was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Mankins of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 4 Apr 14 at 11:21 pm.
