Archive of 04-02-14

On 2 Apr 14 Brian Worstell, age 50, 29725 State Route 7, Marietta, reported sometime overnight an unknown suspect(s) shattered the windshield of his Dodge pickup truck and shot the passenger side and rear windows with paintballs. This case remains under investigation (113).

On 2 Apr 14 Jacob F. Welch, age 22, 140 Beebe Road, Waterford, reported he believed he was the victim of a fraudulent check scam. Mr. Welch received a check for $1,976 from an individual who contacted him online. The individual instructed Mr. Welch to deposit the check at his bank and to wire $1,200 to another individual in California while keeping the remaining funds. After wiring the funds Mr. Welch learned the check he deposited was fraudulent and that his account was now overdrawn by over $1,000. This case remains under investigation (1104).

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

Kenneth Paul Scott, age 59, 2007 Gandee Court Apt. A, Belpre, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Scott was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Apr 14 at 8:05 am.

Brooke Michelle Miller, age 40, 606 Lee Street, Belpre, for passing bad checks, a misdemeanor. Miller was arrested in Belpre by Patrolman Williams of the Belpre City Police Department and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Apr 14 at 11:06 am.

Heidi Anne Jackson, age 36, 183 Washington Street, Waterford, for failure to appear, a misdemeanor. Jackson was arrested at her residence by Sgt. Holbert of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Apr 14 at 11:31 am.

Tracey James Pickenpaugh, age 27, 4559 N. State Route 669, McConnelsville, for violating the terms of his probation, a misdemeanor. Pickenpaugh was arrested at the Courthouse by Probation Officer Brockmeier and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Apr 14 at 11:58 am.

Angela Mae Thompson, age 35, 604 Ferry Street, Beverly, for violating the terms of her probation, a felony. Thompson was arrested at her residence by Probation Officer Smith and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Apr 14 at 12:39 pm.

Michael Trevor Johns, age 26, 8929 State Route 555, Cutler, for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony. Johns was arrested in Cutler by Detective Smeeks of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Apr 14 at 4:24 pm.

Barbara Ann Carver, age 47, 429 Strecker Lane, Marietta, for theft, a felony. Carver was arrested at her residence by Lt. Gherke of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and processed into the Washington County Jail on 2 Apr 14 at 7:59 pm.
